Hey everyone, I have been wanting to try D&D for years, but didn't really know anyone that played. I have a few people I know that are interested, but I need a DM. Myself, and the others interested have never played before. So a DM would need to be patient with a bunch of noobs. I would like an Austin area person (hence why I am posting here), because for the moment, anything that happens would probably be online only, but in the future I would like to transition to in-person. I would really like to be able to record it and make episodes on my youtube channel, but if no one is up for that, even a private game would be nice. Any help is appreciated!

Hello! I wanted to share in hopes that someone can give me solid advice from a community that I care about. I'm moving to Austin in August and I've never been there, don't know anyone there, and the closest family I have will be in OK. I'm from California originally, moved to Vegas, moved to Pittsburgh, and now I'm trying out Austin to see how it fits. To say I'm a little nervous would be an understatement. I've always known people wherever I've moved and now I won't, but I think it's necessary for me to grow. I guess I'm wondering, are the people in Austin nice? Is it a nice place to live? Would you have any words of advice? Thanks to anyone listening and anyone who comments. Stay safe!

This may be the first SXSW in years I'm not doing ANYTHING during the festival. Spring Break doesn't line up with it, and my classes are on all the days that I got invites to shows, lol. Wouldn't be bad if I didn't have to drive down to San Marcos for classes, and get out at 9:30 at night. What have y'all done this week, or what do you plan to do for SXSW? Let me live vicariously through you!

OOOOOHHHHH MAN!! We have E V E N T S! They're both on the same day but worry not, there's a solid four-hour gap between the two! First up is the Woman's March, we will be meeting up by the Tejano Statue around 11:30 A.M. on the Texas State Capitol Grounds. The actual march is from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. so if you don't catch us don't fret, just go in when you're ready! More details on the Facebook event page.
