Hello everyone. This post is kind of a State of the Community post. Don't worry, we have never been political at RT Michigan and we have no intenion of changing that now. However with the state of the world and everything that's going on, we admins agree that we shouldn't just be silent about it all. So this is where we as a community stand.
RT Michigan is open to everyone. We don't care about your race, religion, age, sexual orientation, political leanings, or where you were born. All we ask is that you treat others with respect, kindness, and compassion within our community. After all, if we can get along with Ohio, we can get along with anyone.
When it comes to politics and opinions on current events, RT Michigan remains ever neutral. It makes no sense to pick a side when we are made up of a community of individuals with varying beliefs and opinions. We will encourage everyone to vote, but we will never tell you who to vote for. We won't tell anyone whether they should protest or not, who or what they should protest, or even how they should protest. We will encourage you to be safe and respectful if possible. And always follow your own heart.
If you would like some advice, I will give you this. Expect change to happen. At some point change always happens. Some good, some bad. The only constant in this world we share is that everything changes eventually and it's okay to be scared by it. If you ever need someone to talk to, remember that that is what communities are for. Don't be afraid to reach out to your fellow RT Michigan members.
Also, don't feel like you have to talk about all of the stuff happening. If you come to our corner of the internet to get away from everything, you are welcome to do so. RT Michigan is happy to serve as a distraction. Video games, DnD, RT content, TV shows and movies, whatever interest you have can be shared in our community.
While you're here we admins would like to take the chance to thank all of you for being such great community members. We occasionally hear of some of the other community leaders asking advice on how to deal with disruptive or contrversial members in their own communites, and it can be disheartening sometimes. But we have fortunately never had to deal with that as all of you have been so wonderful.
As things here in Michigan start to open up, we expect that we will again begin to plan in person events soon. For now though, we are still being cautious and waiting to see how things develope before rushing into things. The safety of our members is our first priority. Until then, we have had some game sessions pop up and we expect more to come. Check out the discord where a lot of those conversations tend to happen. And please, follow our Twitter and our Facebook page for more updates.

Sorry for the long update and the heavy topics. We just wanted to say something as silence didn't seem to feel right. Remember, we are here if you need us. RT Michigan will continue to be the place for fans of everything Rooster Teeth here in the mitten as well as the friends we've found along the way.
