Hey guys, I think it’s time we address this officially.
As we all know, we are, to put it bluntly, in the middle of a pandemic right now. Things are looking and getting a little scary, but, hey — we’re gonna be alright.
As your admins, however, we feel we need to emphasize our part in all of this. From now on until this blows over (April, May or so), we will not be organizing any in-person meetups. Instead, we will start organizing some online meetups, should people be interested in that.
Some of you may find this drastic, as an overreaction — that’s totally fine! You are allowed to voice your opinions as well. However, we are doing this not only for our little community, but for everyone that we come in contact with every day. We would rather go a few weeks without seeing your beautiful faces and be safe, rather than expose anyone to any potential danger.
It is our role in society, right now, to protect each other and get through this together. The only way we can help is by following the guidelines, taking care of ourselves, and practicing precautions. Although we personally may not be affected, others around us will be, so we must do what we can in order to help each other out.
You are all more than welcome to host your own meet ups — we will never tell you not to. Whatever y’all do, be safe, be cautious, and take precautions.
