Hey folks, how's everyone doing? It's been a while! I'm Boomer 👋 I was one of the RTX London Head Guardians and long-time organiser for the annual RTUK community event in Leicester. In it's latter years RTUK was run by an awesome group of UK community members, and, now the RT community site is back, maybe RTUK can come back as well! Before I get too carried away, let's start by getting to know one another by sharing quick introductions in the comments!

So, there may be no chance of having an RTX in the UK any time in the foreseeable future, but there has still been our annual community event RTUK. Now we have had a couple of virtual events in 2020/2021 due to this pandemic thing that’s been going on, but… SAVE THE DATE!! We’re thrilled to announce the return of our in person RTUK event which will be held on Saturday 23 April 2022, at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center (UB7 0DU) next to London Heathrow Airport Terminals 2 & 3. You can expect the usual board games, D&D, console gaming, tournaments, raffle and merch. We also have some more exciting news regarding the event, which we're not quite ready to announce yet, but we're sure you will be very excited to see. Hey all, I'm planning on heading to my first RTX this year (although I've been trying since 2020), and am wondering if anyone who's been before has any tips? Mainly I was wondering if people would say its worth going for something like a plus badge especially if you're travelling a long way to get there? Thanks in advance :)

RTUK Fireteam and the Smoulder Council are planning to organise a Women in the RT Community Podcast on our Twitch channel, some watch along activities and an after party over on the RTUK Discord for RTX@Home. A somewhat delayed post here, but we managed to raise over £1000 for Special Effect at this year's RTUK! And we're already looking at plans for an in person RTUK 2022! Comment below with any thoughts on content and max ticket price (we're currently looking at likely ~£20-25 for a full day event to cover a decent venue and facilities whilst putting on the usual mix of gaming, D&D, card & board games, music and more).
