The YouTube queue feature cuts off Bumbleby in the title for today's episode so it just says "the voices of blake and yang from rwby talk bum..." 🍑

"Always Open" episodes never get old! I've been re-watching old content with and without special guests. I can't get enough of it! It may be harder to get everyone sitting in the same room (cause of Covid), but I believe that we as a society, need real conversations about ourselves and the people around us. I've been well away from society and procrastinating at home. Thanks, LOVE the show!

I was watching the newest Always Open (#134) and Barbara Dunkelman asked the question, "What is the actual difference between something-zero and something-diet? I don't know what it is?"  This prompted me to finally join as I had just looked up the difference myself not too long ago. Diet Coke was launched in 1982 with a Coke formula that was based on the TAB formula, the premier diet soda from coke at the time. Diet Coke took off in popularity this prompted Coke to make New Coke in 1985 by adding high fructose corn syrup to the formula.  Where Diet Coke was a huge success New Coke was a disaster and Coke Classic was introduced within a few months with the original Coke formula  Coke Zero was introduced as a diet soda with a formula much closer to the original Coke (Coke Classic)

Just watched the mental health episode of Always Open and I have never felt the remorse of wishing I had found something sooner until now. (WARNING: This might get lengthy). I come from a very conservative household (my parents have been the stereotypical "All things can be fixed with Jesus" type) (which is not always a negative thing). Growing up, as a guy, my brothers and I would often follow the mantra of "rub some dirt in it" in all aspects of our personal pains, which most often is not the best thought process, especially when it comes to mental health. I have experienced moments of depression, anxiety, and loneliness, but nothing I would consider as clinical or needing medication to overcome. However, my younger brother has. I first learned about this back in the fall of 2016 when he texted me while I was at a concert (luckily it was a more chill concert so I could head to the back and continue a conversation). Not to get into the nitty gritty of it right off the bat, but my brother did not feel comfortable going to my parents about it so he texted me. I wish I had known what to say at the time, but I feet in the moment that he had already taken the right steps (going to a counselor and starting medication). Fast forward a few years, my brother has made leaps and bounds of progress and my parents have become more receptive to issues of mental health, becoming much more supportive in our personal lives and issues (my brother switched his major to Art Education and has been able to comfortably pursue his interests in painting). I have been very thankful that he has had the determination to seek the proper help, but I still wish that I would have known how to support my brother in that initial moment of confidence when he told me that he was struggling with depression. Keep doing what y'all do, the unscripted format promotes real responses that allow an aspect of unbiased realism. Thank you.

This show never fails to cheer me up, between lots of long shifts for the holidays, and work being done in my house today, I was in a pretty bad mood, which is never a good launchpad to sleep from. Opened up the RT app, and saw that the new episode had dropped, and it had me smiling again in minutes. I'm enjoying the new format, seeing things mixed up a bit, and I'm excited to see where things go from here!

I kinda forgot to post this in the most obvious place 😅 A bit of Always Open with a RWBY twist! (Ngl, wasn't sure on which page to put it in, but this channel needs more love!) https://twitter.com/JounroJ/status/1195493262682931201
