What is with the 3 different expansion slots on the Gamecube? what was Nintendo thinking with all of those things. I just got the Game boy player (with out the disk) and it uses one of the slots while covering up the rest. did one thing ever use them all? did most of the accessories cover up the other slots?

I know there was a online thing for the Gamecube, didn't only work with one game? at the very least it used the expansion slot unlike most other Nintendo consoles in America.
