Hey guys! So I myself am from London in the UK and due to many reasons, all of which excuses... I did not attend RTX (Boooo, hiss) HOWEVER... I solemnly swear I will attend next year! My plan is to document the next year as a RT fan, from here wallowing in the jealousy of all those that went In the last few days, right up to this point next year where I will be delighted with my adventures in Austin! The road starts here, what I thought would be cool is to make some friends along the way that like me are planning on going, learning from seasoned RTXers, arranging flights and hotels and then meeting some of you beautiful people in a years time! I'm not sure if this is the right place for this self advertisement and I am sure the lovely @Adam will moderate it if needed but if you like every want your first taste of RTX and feel you'd like a buddy to muddle through the next year, follow, add or message me to keep up with how I get on! Let me start by saying that if you can afford it, VIP tix remain a nobrainer. With that said, for those have been around for two or even three years, I think I can say without question that the experience has gotten markedly worse this time around. I don't expect this to change. If anything, I'm guessing the downward trajectory will continue next year, but I thought I might detail the biggest changes anyway. The biggest and undoubtedly worst change has been a major population increase. This means panels have actually run out of VIP seats, which doesn't bug me all THAT much. But it also means that staff no longer feels comfortable hanging out in the VIP room. Two years ago, the staff hangout area was the same thing as the VIP room. Last year, there may have been a split, I'm not really sure? But this year, the split is complete and total. The VIP room is way on the edge of the convention, and whenever staff do come in, which is rare (I saw Jack), they're mobbed by non-staff. This mobbing was a common occurrence. There were literal lines of VIPs waiting to talk to staff at the VIP party. For the past two years, the VIP party was a place to casually say hello and then move on. This year, there were some staff members that I genuinely felt sorry for, because they couldn't get away from the mob. This actually dramatically improved after midnight, when the party turned into a bar and the under 21 crowd had to leave. Take that for what you will. I love being a VIP. I love getting into panels early and doing a lot of extra cool stuff. But I hate the sense that my VIP crowd has turned, this year, into what is basically just another burden for the staff to deal with. Like I said at the beginning, I don't see a solution for this. It's just a thought I wanted to air
Just wanted to thank (most) of you guys for making this such an awesome experience this year. This was my 3rd year coming to RTX and somehow each year it gets better. I met so many cool and genuinely nice people this weekend and I'm still high off the amazing experiences we shared. I just want everyone to understand that while a big part of this event is the RT talent, a huge part that sometime goes unnoticed is the fan-to-fan interaction. Stay awesome RT community, I can't wait to see some of you guys next year.
RTX was amazing as usual, but Austin still has more to offer! Myself and the group of UKers I'm with are here until the 10th, so if anyone else is sticking around and needs people to drink with,we are here for you!
I posted this on /r/roosterteeth, but I figured it'd be good to post here cause duh this is the mother ship. I was the one that they rolled a one for me while at the Heroes and Halfwits panel. Basically, for the panel during the questions part, they suggested they "roll initiative" for each person that asks a question, if it was a 1, then you couldn't ask your question. If it was a 20 then you could ask two questions. I was first up and they rolled for me and it was a 1, a critical fail. So they told me to sit back down. I was pretty sad because out of everything today, this panel was the one I was most excited about. The dude right after me got a 20, so when they asked him what his second question was, he offered his question to me. It was super cool of him. I just wanted to say thank you to him. If anyone knows him or whatever, just give him my thanks. Dungeons and Dragons is my most favorite thing in the world besides RT...and my cats, so yeah it meant a lot to me. Thanks kind stranger.
My friend Zeph and I have a check out time of 12:00 PM and have to be at the airport at 6:30...does anyone want to hang out between those times? I dunno what we would do but it could range from just sitting around, watching RT content or walking around and doing stuff. Hope to see you

Imagine if you will, Amiibo Cockfights, but with a human touch (obviously not killing them) The Human coaches are allowed to work alongside their Amiibos, making every fight 2v2, but if anyone is Killed, win or lose, They're out. As such, Imagine a theoretical Fight between Ben with Pitfall 2 and Andre with Waifu. They pick their characters, the amiibo fight, they fight, and the only one that survives the onslaught is Waifu. Whatever the next tournament round is, it's Waifu solo vs the next contestants, as Andre was wiped out in the first round.

It was a week before Thanksgiving and a Amazon supervisor was dressed like a turkey. So in my infinite wisdom I decided it would be funny to write said letter and give it to said Supervisor. Let's just say he wasn't happy and had security walk me out. Well what makes this funny is the Centaur Employees i worked with still talk about my stupidity like it was the greatest thing any employ as done. Also dont work for the Temp companies of Amazon they treat Contractors like shit and force us to pick up a mess they made which was not big at all that they could have cleaned up. Also the Temp agency Management threatens contract workers with "if you dont do what we say I'll have you Fired"

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone had an extra badge they are willing to gift me. I am a guardian who is driving from Arizona so 15+ hour trip ahead of me, my dad has been wonderful enough to drive with me so I don't have to go it alone. I was going to see if anyone bought an extra badge he could use? He is not a fan of RT, honestly doesn't even know what's going on but I know he will enjoy the neediness of the whole thing and see what he drove his daughter 15 hours to participate in. Just thught I'd ask :D
This is my fourth time going to RTX and every year, it happens. People at the car rental place, the hotel, even people on the street approach me and ask, "What is RTX?" How can I summarize something as awesome as RTX in just a sentence or two? I'm seriously considering just answering them with something like "Medical diagnostic equipment" just so they leave me alone. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can say?
I know its a shot in the dark but does anyone live near Gonzales, tx that would give me a ride to austin and back from austin. I'm going all 3 days. I have a car but I just got it so i don't have inspection sticker or license plates yet. Plus I don't have much experience driving. My friend and I are going to Austin (I'm going to RTX) this week and we're wanting to go play paintball. We'll be arriving thursday around lunch time. Austin paintball is the name of the place. Located near hamilton's pool, its a great place for RTX guests to have it out on the battlefield. Message me for details if anyone wants to make a couple teams so we can go toe to toe RVB style. Hey all I'm probably super late to the party making this thread but why not. I'll be headed to RTX on my own this year as I'm sure plenty of you will be doing as well so I figured I would make this post for people (whether you're flying solo this year or not) to meet each other. The RT community is full of wonderful awesome people!
