RTX Day 3
Poor Burnie and Gavin. This week on the RT Podcast they played Gavin or Gaggle. They needed bins to vomit into. Blech.
Then I went to the Halo booth and played a round of Warzone Firefight. I lost.
Then I went to the Grifball booth and played... you get the idea. I scored a few points, but still lost. When I played again later, I failed to win for a second time. I lost the game, by the way. And by reading it, YOU LOSE TOO!
The Funhaus booth was packed towards the end... something to do with Funhaus being there.
PE/\KE!
I also popped by the RT Store when it was mostly empty. Picked up a key chain and something for my older brother which I think he's gonna like.
Ray also showed up. And I'm talking about former Achievement Hunter Ray. His impromptu autograph line by the Twitch booth was capped, but yet one girl still got in. Huh. Today really is the gold standard for surprises. Speaking of which...
I MET JOEL HEYMAN! AND GOT HIS AUTOGRAPH! AND A PHOTO! Hopefully this time I won't lose the autograph like I did for PAX Australia. I had to improvise for that one. Best ending ever!
When all was said and done, I stuck around for half an hour and cheered for the Guardians who did such a fantastic job, and without them, RTX truly wouldn't be possibly. AND THEY DON'T GET PAID AT ALL!
Now for RTX Sydney in February. Planning to upgrade to something a little better than a weekend pass. :)
RTX Day 2
Halo!
First I met Griffon Ramsey at her booth at the back of the show floor, and got a photo.
Then I kicked butt on the Halo 5 Warzone Firefight at the Halo Booth. Lost at round 4, but one a poster anyway!
Then I tried to get into the RVB panel. That was dumb. I got there hours early, then at nearly 12:30 I get kicked to the back of the queue. Twice. In the end I just decided to go back and explore the convention. Not a lot happened. Barbara celebrated her birthday though. Happy birthday to the "Mistress of Puns"!
Then I went to the Halo panel. That was smart. Ended up getting two mega bloks purple elites as part of a free giveaway, gave one to a lucky Rey cosplayer. She was nice. :)
I also asked Burnie about a Red vs. Blue video game. Not happening, because of 343. We can try though. Also got a free Burnie themed RTX coin.

RTX Day 1
Well that was fun.
Explored the expo floor for a bit and found a life-sized, but smashed up, Warthog. Then I met Pongo. Not exactly frightening in real life, but still don't tell Joel. He'll worry about puppets coming after him with a knife.
Then I sat on my rightful throne at the Tower of Pimps. Not exactly as big as I was expecting. Then I had my photo taken at the Off-Topic set, before heading over to the Twitch booth to get my photo with Jon Risinger.
Then I had to suffer the nightmare that was the wait to meet Burnie and Matt. Speaking of which, when I find out who held up the line, I will subject you to a thousand hours of Joel's gold and oil lecturing.
Afterwards, I went back to the expo floor for a bit before watching Gus kick Jeremy Dooley's butt at Tetris up close, seeing Gus earning his rightful place as Grand Champion, before taking a quick selfie. Props to that guy! Props to everyone!
And then I went to a couple of end-day panels. If you hear the Australian asking questions at the "How to get involved in the community" panel and the Weirdlings panel on the Twitch streams, yeah that was me.
Yep. Can't wait for Day 2. See you later!
RTX Day Zero
So, I got my badge for RTX today! I can't believe it, but I can!
Afterwards, I went to the FIRST night screening at the Paramount Theatre for two episodes of Crunch Time (I don't want to spoil anything, but you'll be Gus-hing at the cameos in the first episode) and one episode of Day 5 (not for the faint-hearted... or the strong-hearted), and saw two Q and A's with the cast and crew. And Matt.
And then I went to Whataburger for dinner, ate a burger, and then went, "Wow, what a burger". Looks like I got one up on Barbara Dunkelman herself!
Can't wait for tomorrow, and the autograph session! I can't tell you who, but one does voice a popular character from RVB. And the other one voices Doc.
My First RTX Austin (but not my first RTX ever, because of the earlier Sydney one)
I'm all packed and ready to go to RTX this Friday, and it's looking to be quite spectacular. I got the autograph session I wanted, thanks to staying up at 1 o'clock in the morning on the day they came out, and I printed both that ticket and what I hope is the confirmation email for the whole event (if not, then uh-oh). I look forward to seeing everyone there, whether you're a fellow fan, an internet celebrity, or a Rooster Teeth employee. :D
