Procrastinating at its finest.

So I've an exam in 8ish days (the fact I don't know for certain sort of gives away my dedication). I am currently sitting in the library compiling the most random train-of-thought Google search history and wondering why, after finishing my degree I decided to dive headlong into another one.

Conclusion: I'm an idiot.

(I know for a fact I wouldn't be this cranky if it wasn't 25 degrees outside. So very rare for Ireland)

Wow I haven't been here in a while.

Hello everyone!

How's it going?

So I randomly decided to log in only to realise it's been a year since I posted! How?!

I guess to be honest I've kinda fallen out of the RT community during that time. Damn life stopping me doing stuff. However I really wanna get back into the swing of things so I said I'd start with this (I even typed it on an iPad. Which I now want to smash).

I guess that's it for now. In the meantime I'll be watching Theatre Mode.

We did good

Yesterday we made history.
Today I'm prouder to be Irish than I ever have been before.
Tomorrow we wake up as equals.

From the bad comes the good.

So it's taken me this long to come to grips with what has happened over the past week and think I'm not the only one to feel that.

In an attempt to process this loss its brought back the weight of all losses that I've experienced before of course, but I think, for me at least, it brought about something else:

The need to face my own mortality.

For the first time in my life I've really come to terms with the fact that the duration of my existence on this rock orbiting the sun is finite, and scarier still I don't know how finite it is.
This realisation has allowed me to see what my priorities are and more importantly begin taking steps to achieving them now rather than tomorrow or next week because, simply, I don't know if I'll have a tomorrow or a next week.In short I don't want my life to be a series of 'what-could-have-been's and wasted potential. I want my time here to count for something even if it's only achieving my personal goals.

So (sorry for how fractured this post is, it's more a stream of consciousness) this brings me back to the title of this entry. While the tragedy that befell this community was one of the worst one could imagine the direct aftermath has been filled with nothing but love, support and creativity.

One of the things that I've wanted to do for a long time is get back into drawing. Today I dug out my old supplies for the first time in much much longer that I want to admit and decided to just create something. Anything.
I ended up creating a tribute to the reason for all of this.

Since the news broke last week the internet has been filled with people, while dealing with their grief and sadness also looking to the future and looking for the positive in the situation.
And lets be honest, what better way to honour the legend that was, is and always will be Monty Oum.

Rest in Peace my friend, and know that though the loss it great it has inspired oh so much good in this cold cruel world.

We love you Monty
