Next, New or Now Gen

Playing through Dragon's Age recently and found myself hitting down time or side quests, and just needing a break. Like most good RPGs you need a break of a shoot'em up or quick for fun game to break away sometimes. Anyway, I found myself staring at my games, both from Xbox One and 360 and was wondering about the new systems. Sure they are great hardware/spec wise, but I actually miss the experience of the 360.
Maybe it is nostalgia or fond memories, but more over I just think the whole interface was better on the 360. I know many of the characteristics of the One are not yet engrained in me, but it just doesn't feel the same. Hopefully in the coming years I will get to that point. What do you think? One or 360 based on just how you feel when on the dashboard?

So I have been finding myself returning more frequently to my Xbox 360 (as opposed to the one) in the last few weeks. Perhaps out of familiarity or nostalgia, but regardless playing a lot on the 360. What I want to hear from our community is what games may have flown under the radar for past gen that are still worth a play through? I have been going back and finishing out series, trying new genres and generally reveling in the goodness that is the 360. As always boys & girls, know your games!

Curious to know how many in the RT community would fall into that "Gents" category. And even more interested to know if there are those out there with kids. I would like to know how the "older" RT community shares, plays, encourages their own kids in the land of video games and online content. Just a thought...

XBOX One

So watched the big MS reveal yesterday and it makes me think. The ONE looks like an amazing tool of new tech, but scares me as well in that there are some things I don't want (or need) for a gaming console. I realize things like the kinect or tv are great, but to be honest, I just want XBLA, and to be able to sit down and play a game. Perhaps the sales route MS is taking is over shadowing the true nature of the new console and it will be fine. I just don't want to be to dumb to play my games.
