Review of my picks for this episode:
Well, my guess as Chris being the one who tripped over themselves and falling on Sting was wrong. I'm actually happy that it was Gavin tripping over Gavin, which is what I originally thought it would be.
The weapon makes no sense to me though. I don't see any clues whatsoever that would point to Slow Motion Mousetraps. I mean, I get the reference to the Slow Mo Guys mousetraps episode, but there were no clues to that. Also, the Slow Motion Explosion is a more likely weapon with a Slow Mo Guys reference. There are more explosions in Slow Mo Guys videos than mousetraps. It is also more likely to die from an explosion, than a bunch of mousetraps. Also, the 100% Accurate Minecraft Creeper Suit is another Gavin reference.
I feel like the riddle was the clue that the victim would be Gavin, but that the only clue to the weapon is Gavin himself. So then it's just a 1 in 3 guess for the weapon. If we're supposed to figure this out by guessing, that's pretty lame.
My predictions for the next episode:
For the next victim, I picked Miles. This is purely based on the poem. "One was martyred". This is the only clue that I'm certain about. There's a few definitions of a martyr, the most common being someone who dies for a cause or their beliefs.
Now everyone believes in something, but none of the characters seem to have a particular belief that I think they would be killed for. You could say that they all have a cause i.e. survival, or avenging Michael and Gavin. But that's a common cause, so it's not a helpful clue.
I picked Miles because he plays Jaune in RWBY, who is inspired by Joan of Arc, who was a famous martyr. I'm thinking his suit that he said he will put on is a Jaune costume.
For the weapon I picked the Cresent Rose Scythe just for the RWBY link with Miles as Jaune.
After I submitted my predictions, I realised that I was wrong about none of the characters having a cause that sets them apart. In this episode it's revealed that Burnie wants vengeance for the murder of his partner. So now I realise that the only solid clue points to Burnie. I have no clues as to the weapon.
