I guess I should start using this site the way it was intended to be used. I'm calling this a weekly update even though I'm posting on a Thursday because 1) I doubt anything of note will happen to me in the next couple of days and B) If I don't do it now I'll probably forget since you can't do this on mobile.
But to all who are reading this, hello! How are you? It's good to see you again. Here we are in 2017 and every day feels a little bit more like it's a new year. I hope you made it out of 2016 relatively unscathed. I know it was it bit rough in the home stretch.
I, like most people, try to make the resolution of living a healthier life and losing weight when January rolls around, but tend to fall off the wagon a few weeks down the road. But this year, I'm going to seriously try. I've reached a weight that I never thought I'd reach and I'm not happy about it in the least. Unfortunately I can't afford a gym membership, or to get exercise equipment of my own, so I bought a jump rope and printed some workouts from the internet. I'm going to give that a shot and see where it takes me.
One of my biggest hang ups is drinking enough water. (I type this as I look at the empty Achievement Hunter tumbler sitting on my desk) This is something I definitely need to work on. If I can remember, I'll try to use this as a forum to chronicle my journey through this endeavor.
As of Jan 5, I currently weight 222 pounds and I would like to get down to the 170-185 range by RTX. So that's about 40 pounds in seven months? I could do that right? Any feedback, suggestions, or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.
I applied for a new position within my company a few months ago and had an interview last month that I felt went really well, but it's getting to the point where I don't believe I'll be selected for it and it's kinda bummed me out going into the weekend.
So yay 2017 (sarcasm). Here's looking to week 2.
