Saw the movie last night. And I have to say that it was cool but fell short with the story part in comparison to the book. Some aspects were changed to more fit into a 2 hour movie and also modified to go with the fact that the book is now 7 years old so things like Twitch and Minecraft get mentioned. The change up to the quests were nice but weird, instead of being 6 total there were only 3 (and the first one could have been figured out by a regular troll who wanted to just screw with people). The action was awesome though and I look forward to purchasing it on blu-ray so I can go through the frames to figure out all the Easter eggs and characters that were shown. Way less Japanese stuff in the movie is a good thing because even with how detailed Z had explained I still didn’t understand the significance of his big bot.

 

SOME issues I had problem with but it has to do with the fact that a 41 chapter book was condensed down. Also it’s weird hearing Simon Pegg with an American accent.

 

Should see. Is good.
