Fortnite will be available:
Hmmmmm I must be living in the future!
I can see the future! Gohan is the strongest but still doesn't do shit!
they should do a 1 off with the battle buddies
Also with AH wanting to Git Gud at rainbow6 they should do a terrorist hunt IRL at a paint ball place.
Holy hell, imagine that with the destructible walls from the destructibles immersion....
My god.
Art Department never cease to amaze me.
also interesting way to approach it (with them doing it in game first). Nice episode.
Aw, look how far Gus has come. A lowly Lab Rat to running the whole show. Brings a tear to my eye.
Ive been on fortnite all this week so I was excited when i seen this pop up.
Don't you mean for the past two weeks?
That set design was stunning. Great work to everyone involved.
They did this with RTX attendees? How come I didn't hear about it?
They always do an Immersion at RTX. Last year was Hitman
they sent out an email to the VIP badge holders and the first 100 that responded got in.
Gus killed that intro yo
Wow, the translation from virtual to real life was flawless. Holy hell, well done.
Marus Laporte, the man and legend
Decent immersion, but I'm not sure I like the precedent this is setting...
What precedent? I'm legitimately curious not being a prick here, i just dunno what you mean
They've already done 2 sponsored Immersions before. They help pay for what would otherwise be a really expensive show.
This one was okay. better than the last 2. Some of the sponsored ones just seem meh or nothing really special.
I should have been more specific, they did this immersion to promote RT's box service with a game none of us would have heard of or cared about otherwise. That's the precedent.
I'm all for studios pitching in on what would otherwise be free advertising, but it doesn't work unless it's a major franchise with a universal mechanic that we've all used thousands of times in their games. Without that sympathetic element it just can't be compelling, as anyone who had payed attention to one of Burnie's intros would have known.
Over the past year or so some higher up has repeatedly made programming decisions that fundamentally misunderstand what's appealing about certain RT content in the first place. This was the red flag some of us raised way back at the acquisition-- that sooner or later, someone whose job was to generate revenue and who didn't particularly "get" RT was going to make these kinds of decisions. The thought of "We need to push this video game, and we've got a show about video games, why don't we put the game in the show?" only seems like a good idea if you come at it like an executive and not a fan.
Whew, I wrote too much. Anyway, I hope that clarifies.
