Oh thank God my family isn't the only one to do this too. We actually have a list in our kitchen for shit my ma says wrong because it's so funny. The most current thing she said wrong was the pronunciation of "hybrid", since she said it like "hy-bird".

I love Chad.

My family speaks cantonese but I had a spanish baby sitter growing up, so I often mixed the two languages together. For example, I used to play the video game of Richard Scarry's Busy, Busy Town. You had to get around the different parts of the map using the applecopter. So when I played it with my dad, I would point it out using "manzana feigei" which is literally "apple plane" using spanish and cantonese repsectively. My dad at the time went "What the fuck did you just say?"
