Glad to see these back! I remember when these were the norm. Man time flies.
There's been one every christmas for like. 5 years? aha what do you mean back? and they are the norm lol
I think they mean the shorts in general, RT used to make a ton f them but theyre much rarer these days
I love a good short
I find the idea of Uncle Touchy as Santa terrifying and hilarious at the same time. Not to mention your dentist.
Does anyone else find it a bit unsettling how often Rooster Teeth skits are about killing everybody in the office?
Plus how Many times have we seen them Die now. They are Really getting dark.
Austin snowing? That's a horror all on its own.
'Member, when RT shorts weren't primarily about selling a product or merch, and were just great comedy shorts? I think I'm starting to forget...
What are you talking about? It is almost tradition at this point that their yearly Christmas Short is 1. referencing their merch in some way and 2. goes horribly wrong somewhere in the middle.
The quality of the old shorts is an entirely different discussion.
It's just disheartening that shorts, more or less, come out as ads for RT sales now (at least this year, 1/3rd have been sales promotions). With only 2 shorts in the last 6 months, and both of them being "look at our merch, its on sale" vids, the line between the shorts being entertainment driven, or advertisement focused, is getting lost for me.
Seeing as their live action team have had the likes of MDB, Day 5, Blood Fest and Lazer Team 2 on the go this year (probably missing a few projects more there), they were likely at capacity for what they could do without affecting quality. Is likely why there has been more broadcast based shows for the RT Talent to be in than scripted.
They sacrificed writing shorts this year for larger, more time-consuming projects, which I can't argue with honestly. MDB and Day 5 have been stellar and I hope the same for the movies.
It's always the nice ones.
Okay, so now Chis is now on the scary crazies list with Ryan now. That ending where he went mad was great.
I don't know about you but he has been on mine for a looong time...
Ryan, Chris and Joel have always been on my "Most likely to snap and murder everyone" list.
wow roosterteeth would sell there souls to plug merchandise shamefull really.
Last I checked they are a buissness
They do a video like this every year though, so it's not anything new or unexpected. It's just how they advertise their merch for christmas.
No swag for you. Enjoy your coal, Scrooge.
It makes me happy, it makes them happy, what's not to love?
That was lovely.
beautiful
