I cannot tell you guys how cute it was to hold that pupperino. He was PASSED OUT in my arms. And snoring like my dad before his sinus surgery hahahaha.
for Sarah, when it comes to the raw vegetables, I also cannot have certain raw veggies for my thyroid autoimmunity so certain families like broccoli has to be cooked to be eaten because a certain chemical that affects the allergy gets cooked out
I wonder if you could take a wheelchair, securely suspend it so the wheels could still spin and you could sit in it, then sync up the in-game wheel positions with the real-world wheel positions (for possibly increased realism and ease of movement control). One of the main issues, I guess, would be the hand controllers actually needing to be in the hands/used.
I think it would be super cool if there were modified wheel chairs with AR/VR components to simulate operating different types of wheelchairs (powered vs unpowered) under different conditions (navigating a busy sidewalk, going up or down an incline). Etc.
Alternatively if people want to know what it's like to be a wheelchair user, they could, you know, if they can, borrow a wheelchair, and try getting around for a day.
@LokiHiroki Way to think about how to apply the scenario for chair users! I'm sure there's a way to get appropriately tuned sensors on a chair on a set of rollers- think like a car's dyno- I'm just not quite *that* techy...
I've got a number of both types I could lend out... now, how to get 'em all to Austin... ;)
I'm SO glad this one's out- wasn't able to catch it all when it was live... just the fact it exists is amazing- soooo much further and more thoughtful than any other company's half-assed attempts at DEI inclusion, and as a chair user myself, I'm well aware. Kudos to everyone involved <3
I have an aunt that's allergic to tap water. there's only something like 2 brands of bottled water she can drink safely. she's also allergic to certain types of ink and one of them is found in most face masks so she had to go through the whole pandemic either without a mask or breaking out in a rash.
