Made a post in the RvB forums but figured I’d post about it here as well. For the past few years I’ve been working on a RvB fan series that is finally starting to release! It’s called Silence Kills and is meant to take place in the days leading up to RvB season 6. Episodes 1&2 are out with episode 3 currently being filmed and edited! So I know it says my name is Griff, but my online handle is actually B00mrang. I'm the writer and director for a series called CRASH. Which is (sort of) a spiritual successor to RvB (but it's influenced by many machinima series from over the years) CRASH was originally conceived of as an idea when I was on this site over 15 years ago as a wee lad. I made a lot of posts bragging about writing and working on the show but I was a teenager and never had the resources to ACTUALLY make it. Fast forward around 2021 and I actually decide to make the show, it falls flat for many reasons, then I try again in 2023. Episode 1 is currently sitting at 230k views and we have an awesome fan base -many of whom are RVB fans. We've even had cameos from a bunch of former RT people (Geoff, Shannon, Miles, Chris D, and even original music by Trocadero!) Needless to say it's been awesome coming back to this website and seeing posts I made over a decade ago about this project and being able to actually make it so many years later. Having it be such a huge success is something I could have never have dreamed. Rooster Teeth remains one of the biggest inspirations for me making CRASH and I can never be sufficiently grateful for all the years of entertainment they supplied to me.
As a filmmaker who has always dreamed of making a Machinima, I figured it'd be fitting to try to revive this forum. What's everyone watching lately? I've been enjoying the Crash machinima by B00mrang a lot lately!
Howdy, My name is Patrick, and I'm a composer. Are you making machinima or working in live film and need music for your production? Want music written specifically for you, rather than finding something online that kinda fits? I may be able to help you with that! I previously scored the first three (2.5) seasons of the Machinima "Outpost 86", as well as having released multiple albums under different projects. If you'd like to listen to just the music, it's all on my Bandcamp. As I am relatively inexperienced in scoring, I don't feel comfortable charging you money. I'm happy just to be a part of the project and develop more of a portfolio. I want you to feel that since you're taking a risk, you can always part ways if it's not the right fit. In other words: Free Music! So, if this sounds like something that may interest you, drop me a line at GTDMusic at gmail. Let me know what you're looking for. Patrick
Yes, I know the Halo 4 Sniper Rifle is used instead of the Halo CE one, but I can't find a good CE sniper rifle model. Why are We Here?
I am looking to improve my writing skills by (attempting) writing for anything that comes my way. I love games, RT, AH, and all sorts of things. I am ONLY on PC now a days. I have a love for Science Fiction and Fantasy, and can do quite well in both those areas. I can also come up with new ideas like a magician pulling a rabbit from a hat. If anyone is interested, please add me on Discord @fluffinator09#2319! Thanks!
Hey everyone, been an RT fan probably 8 years now (omg I am old) just here looking for some love for a struggling Youtuber. I work in the field of education and wanted to make a History channel to engage with more youth, but boy its not easy building from scratch! Views, likes and subscribers would help so much! Loved the new RWBY season!
I've been working on a script for a Star Trek Fan series for the last few YEARS. I've made Timelines, character histories, and very thoroughly(some would say unnecessarily thorough) thought out details. I've finally reached the point where I consider it relatively complete, or am at least very happy with it. The issue now is that I have no idea what to do with it, but I know I'd like others to read it. I'd also like to get thoughts and critiques from ST fans and non-fans alike. If you'd like to read it just comment or message me your email address and I can send you the pdf. Unless someone can tell me how to post a pdf. here. If you do read it know that there is a timeline at the end of the Script proper that fills in the gaps from where Star Trek: Nemesis ends, and mine picks up. Thanks in advance, everyone. :D
Just finished rereading "Compelling Evidence of the Kutherian Endgame, book 2. In the author note Michaew mentions that a movie deal is unlikely as Hollywood is low-balling for the IP. It occurred to me that Rooster Teeth might be the operation to bring the Kutherian Gambit universe to life. Can someone in RT gets this thought to the right person in RT? How to contact Mr. Anderle? http://kutherianbooks.com/ JGT
Hey RT Community if you have gone through a filmmaking course at college and would like to share it with the younger community do it here! I myself am a high school senior sending off applications to colleges such as UT Austin and University of Oklahoma. Hope this helps any high school students wanting to pursue a career in film!
I am in need of help with some video recording issues. I'm working on Some Let's Play videos. But for some reason, even though I sync my audio with the game footage, it eventually de-syncs to where my audio is a few seconds behind the game footage. This happens when I record console footage. I use two different programs to record both myself and the game. For the games I use the Game Capture HD program that comes with the Elgato Game Capture HD Pro60. For my commentary, I use OBS Studio. If someone could help me with this issue, or even better, tell me how to record both using just OBS Studio, it would be greatly appreciated.
So as the title of this post implies, I have just recently started to teach myself the basics about 3D art making and animation. The software I am using is Blender as my financial situation is not the best. If there are any 3D animators that have any tips or tricks for getting better at the whole process I would greatly appreciate it. I would Also like to ask if using Blender as my software to learn the process of animation and more than likely to create my demo reel (Years away though it might be) would impact my chance of applying at RoosterTeeth.
Hi! Are you the one looking for me? Then look no further! I'm right here My VOs
In a time before time, there was a distant planet called Ankoku Nui, stricken by a terrible darkness. The lands were dried, scorched, withered, fractured, and nearly all manner of life has been extinguished. Ankoku Nui was on the brink of destruction, and only twelve warriors from worlds afar, brought to this desolate planet by pure chance, by causes unknown, had a chance to save it. This is their story... This is the Bionic Fantasy!!!

I have a story I've been writing on and off for about 14 years (yes, years) and I've finally decided what I want to do with it. The goal is to turn it into an animated series, because it was getting into Tolkien-levels of description. Things have changed since day one, but I'd like to float basic plot ideas by a few people to see what works and what doesn't or what needs to be elaborated on more. If anyone is interested in giving some honest, no-holds-barred feedback on my life's work, please feel free to message me, and I'll send you a single-page breakdown. Thanks very much!
In which our heroes make some new friends. A couple of them make really good friends. This time I'm apologizing in advance for the action scenes, which I've tried to flesh out more this time, but I admit that fight directions are not my forte. I'm a lover, not a fighter. ...Not that I'm any good at love scenes, either. Enjoy.
Scott and Sid is a really handy guide for indie film makers or any film makers in general honestly. It's a series of videos that follow the eponymous Scott and Sid and how they made their own indie feature film and it covers literally everything from actual production to tax advice, how to get rebates, how they raised the money to make their film and how they made their production company. They even cover how they managed distribution for the film! It's definitely worth checking out if you know there's a gap in your knowledge you'd like to fill! google play: >https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dreamchasers.scottandsid Apple: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/scott-and-sid/id1299100618?mt=8 They're also planning to make the app into a kind of Netlix for indie films by the end of the year. They want to charge people 1 pound a month and have nothing but independent cinema on the app to stream, they already have 600 indie films signed to them for the end of the year and you can submit your own film as well! >https://www.scottandsid.com/the-netflix-for-indie-film/ or just like their facebook so you can see when the streaming features are up and running! >https://www.facebook.com/ScottandSid/ Thought it'd be something really helpful to a lot of people here, whether you're brand new to film making and want to learn the ins and outs of production for your youtube channel or a fully fledged maker looking to collect a bigger budget for you film give it a look!
