RvB is an obvious answer.

But theres been a lot of wonderful shows over the years.

In no particular order here are some of mine:

  • RVB (easy pick)

  • Freeman's Mind

  • Civil Protection

  • The Leet World

  • Arby 'n' the Chief

  • Matchmaking

Did you ever go to RTX?

I never got the chance when I was much younger. Maybe if something like that happens again there will be another chance. Though I heard it wasn't very profitable in later years so who knows?

Did you ever go?

What do you think?

Would you wanna go again if it came back?

How's it going?

How are y'all feeling about RT's return? I feel good to be back on the site -even if it's just in beta.

There's a RvB discord, RT discord, Morning Somewhere Discord. Which would be the main go to place to congregate? Should there be a New RT discord?

Film Making & Machinima

Fun Fact: I make CRASH and posted about it here 15 years ago.

So I know it says my name is Griff, but my online handle is actually B00mrang. I'm the writer and director for a series called CRASH. Which is (sort of) a spiritual successor to RvB (but it's influenced by many machinima series from over the years) CRASH was originally conceived of as an idea when I was on this site over 15 years ago as a wee lad. I made a lot of posts bragging about writing and working on the show but I was a teenager and never had the resources to ACTUALLY make it. Fast forward around 2021 and I actually decide to make the show, it falls flat for many reasons, then I try again in 2023. Episode 1 is currently sitting at 230k views and we have an awesome fan base -many of whom are RVB fans. We've even had cameos from a bunch of former RT people (Geoff, Shannon, Miles, Chris D, and even original music by Trocadero!) Needless to say it's been awesome coming back to this website and seeing posts I made over a decade ago about this project and being able to actually make it so many years later. Having it be such a huge success is something I could have never have dreamed. Rooster Teeth remains one of the biggest inspirations for me making CRASH and I can never be sufficiently grateful for all the years of entertainment they supplied to me.

New Rooster Teeth Collabs?

Who/What would you wanna see Rooster Teeth collaborate with? Burnie has said he wants to keep RT small and collaborate with people who are making cool things. What kind of creatives do you think would make for great collaborators with Rooster Teeth?

What (if anything) would you wanna see from RVB now?

On his interview with morningsomewhere Burnie said he wasn't very interested in doing more RvB (except maybe a spinoff in that universe) What do you wanna see from Red vs Blue? I'd be happy if they just made occasional PSAs - less commitment that way and they could still satirize current pop culture trends. But a spinoff sounds like it could be fun. I'd honestly be down to see more experimental stuff machinima-wise. Like PANICS or Strangerhood. Those didn't get nearly enough love imo.

Website 2025 Feedback

Website feedback

Theres a lot to like about the layout but plenty to be improved upon. Keeping things simple is great in an age where website UI can often be overdesigned and annoying to navigate. So far this current version seems to be aiming at simplicity which I think is a good direction to be moving in generally. Its also great to be able to see comments and posts from years ago. Super nostalgic and great to connect back to RTs roots. I think a good middle ground would be make the website somewhere between where it is now and what it was like in the late 2000s. Let it be much more community focused and that way people who create and participate in the community have an easier time setting up events, sharing content, and discussing topics. Groups, forums, comments, and personal posts were always great imo and would serve the site well. In an age where people are increasingly disconnected and divided by algorithms it would be amazing to have a space that, while moderated, allowed people with common interests to discuss, host events/groups, comment and connect in the spirit of "Old Internet" This is just my opinion, of course. But RT is coming back at a prime time to be a place for authenticity and genuine communuty and connection in a webspace plagued by shitty companies obsessed with monetizing echo chambers run mostly by algorithms.

RT Events

RT community events coming back?

Would you like to see RT events make a comeback? Keeping things small and community/project focused?
