With the NHL season over, and the NBA season getting closer to it's end, I'm looking forward to NFL Training Camp and the season as a whole? What are some things people are excited for this year? As a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, I'm looking forward to celebrating the team's 50th Anniversary this season!

Couldn't find a new thread for the 2018/19 NHL season, so I figured I'd get that thread started now.
Hey everyone, I just wanted to throw out there that any soccer/football fans on here should make sure they make an effort to support their local clubs! In many parts of the world that can mean non-league or amateur clubs, but also lower division pro-clubs. However, in the US, if you're not in the top 2 divisions, you're pretty much amateur/semi-pro automatically. These clubs have great vibes and communities but get ignored by a lot of fans who only want "Hollywood" football. I work with my local club in Duluth, but there are NPSL, PDL, and UPSL clubs across the nation, even in Texas! Take a couple minutes to check if you have a club based near you and check it out this summer, most seasons are summer based. MLS and USL are great, but getting to see the beautiful game live for a couple bucks and getting to know the fans, players, and coaches personally over a beer or a burger is an amazing experience that only local football gives you. Think about it, get out there! If you want help tracking clubs down I can help you figure something out!

It's mid-August, and the 2017/18 NHL season is tantalizingly close! Between no NHL participation in the Olympics; Jaromir Jagr, Jarome Iginla, and Shane Doan maybe having to retire due to lack of interest from teams; and a handful of ugly Adidas uniforms (looking at you New Jersey Devils!); it will be a... season that exists? *clears throat* Enjoy the season everyone!

Hello Rooster Teeth My name is R. Dominic Harden, When I was born my parents noticed something was wrong with my legs so they took me to Children’s Hospital in Colorado. I was born with bilateral proximal femoral focal deficiency (BPFFD), basically what this means is that the joints that connect my hips to my legs did not form correctly when I was born making both my legs shorter, and so, I mainly have stand in a crouched position. The doctor (Dr. Chang) who saw me when I was a baby said to my parents that there was nothing that could be done for me but when I grow up I will be a part of his ski program. I join the disabled ski program when I was ten years old and was a part of it until I was eighteen years old. The year after I joined, I heard about the Courage Classic. I thought that, hey this is an awesome event that I can be a part of. Three years later Children’s offered me a deal. I could have a bike that was donated to them if I rode in the Courage Classic. I jumped at this and have been riding every year in the Courage Classic since. Though this is the reason I started riding in the Courage classic, I still ride for other reasons. I ride for three main reasons; giving back to Children’s, hope for the future, and unity. I have always ridden with the hope to give back to Children’s hospital for everything that they have done for me and my family. I ride for hope for the future, because even if only one person is inspired to do something good the world will be one person better. I ride because of the unity I see at the Courage Classic, having more than Two-Thousand people from all across the nation coming together in support of this one event. I am posting this story here to hopefully raise awareness of the Courage Classic and to hopefully get donations to support the Children's Hospital in Colorado. The Courage Classic is a bike tour that takes place in Colorado every summer for the past twenty eight years and has been a major fundraiser for the Children's Hospital of Colorado. Every year there are over two-thousand riders and more than three hundred volunteers that help support the event. Please help support this event this year if you can. Thank you for your time. So Im sure there are a tonne of football fans on the forums, possibly quite a few interested in fantasy football too. I have an issue where Im increasing the number of leagues Im running, but dont want to keep pestering the same people to see if they want to join. I thought it might be handy to have somewhere for people to post up that they're interested in joining a/more league(s), and what kinds of league they'd be interested in. Somewhat surprisingly I couldnt find a topic for this, so figured I'd set one up. Nobody likes hearing about other peoples fantasy leagues, but they DO like hearing opinions, tips, strategies on how other people play DFS. So whether youre a freak for FanDuel, Draft Kings daft, hooked on any of the competitior sites, or even completely new to the DFS scene, we want to hear from you! Post up your tips, tricks and strategies, advice or site promos for new players, talking points for the upcoming week, etc. The only rule; NO BRAGGING WITHOUT SCREENSHOTS!!! Any claims of winning without photo evidence will be dismissed as lies. If youve got pics, then brag away! :)
So, let me just start by saying that with 20 games left in the year, there are 6 teams in the AL trying for 2 wildcard bids. I'm not even going to pretend to know how that's going to shake out, but I think I'm just going to use today's standings as the playoff picture itself. Here's how I think it will go: American League: Toronto d. Baltimore: coinflip really imo. I just picked the Jays because, well, no reason. Texas d. Toronto: I think Texas outhits the Jays and moves on in 4. Cleveland d. Boston: 2016 has been kind to Cleveland in general, and I think that their starting rotation is slightly deeper than Boston's is. Not to mention I liked their acquisition of Andrew Miller, I think it really solidified their bullpen and made it more reliable. Tribe in 5. National League: San Francisco d. New York: Mets seem shaky, and the Giants have a lot of veteran postseason presence. I favor them. Chicago d. San Francisco: I hope the Cubs break their drought. I think they Will. Kris Bryant alone is that damn good. Cubs sweep 'em. Los Angeles d. Washington: Two teams I haven't watched that much. I'll take Yasiel Puig in 5. ALCS Cleveland d. Texas: Good pitching beats good hitting. This will still be a he'll of a series though. Tribe in 7. NLCS Chicago d. Los Angeles: It's been 108 years since the Cubs were winners. This is their trap series, but they are definitely talented enough to close the deal. Cubbies in 6. World Series Chicago 4, Cleveland 3 I love my Indians. And to be fair, I think their pitching is slightly better on paper. I just think the Cubs will be hungrier for it in the end. I'm just a casual fan spitballing here. All other opinions are welcome =)

Hello all!!! A few of us RooTeeth Members (The Australian charter :) ) want to participate in this years league. Now, were not exactly experts or insanely huge fans. But enough to want to start our own league. However, theres not that many of us due to not being a popular sport in Australia. There is about 5-6 of us. So I would like to throw out an invitation for 5-6 more players from America! to have a good old AUS vs US kind of theme. This might be a handicap for us, but the draft type will be autopick as it is our first league. If you like to join us. Please let me know below!
