It's mid-August, and the 2017/18 NHL season is tantalizingly close! Between no NHL participation in the Olympics; Jaromir Jagr, Jarome Iginla, and Shane Doan maybe having to retire due to lack of interest from teams; and a handful of ugly Adidas uniforms (looking at you New Jersey Devils!); it will be a... season that exists?
