Hardware, gadgets, etc. Pretend like you know what you are talking about in here.
Figured we could ignite a discussion about what your favorite new piece of tech (owned or not) has been over the last 5 years or so since the last posts in here. My initial thought was to my Dwarf 3 telescope. Being able to travel around with a portable smart telescope and take deep sky pictures overnight while I sleep comfortably has been a ton of fun, and has motivated me to get out into more remote and natural areas more to get better and better pictures.
Hello everyone! Glad to check it out and be back! I have an account I originally signed up to the site back in my youth in 2005. Lost the email account and password associated with it and made this current account back in 2016 as a first member for some time. Would love to see if I could recovery the old account and use for nostalgia going forward. I searched the site and it still shows it so I'm curious if this is possible. If not I'll be happy to stay with this one and be a part of this community again!
Does anybody know of any free software that acts like Outlook or Lotus Notes where you can schedule appointments, etc? I've googled, but to no avail.
Excuse me! Computer lost Internet. I dont know what to do. Help me, plzz Thanks, Black!
Okay, I pay my dues so why the fuck can I not change my profile image?! Am I even the right place for this?! I DON'T KNOW! Why? Because I can't find a search bar anywhere on here! I keep getting this "Unable to Load Item" crap and I keep hearing that the code is broken! Someone, please, HEEEEEEEELP!
So I've had this account for a while and I just recently came back and I'm clueless about majority of everything right now. For some reason I can't upload a profile pic and whenever I refresh or go to another tab, it says unable to load items. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
What does it mean? I keep getting it every time i reload the page, I also can't upload my profile pic.
I can't figure out how to change my profile picture, and every time i visit a new page it keeps saying unable to load items. Idk how to get around this and I can't figure out where to find the answer either because I have no idea where to go now.
I apologize if this is the wrong place to put this, I couldn't quite figure it out. I'm having a problem with the Rooster Teeth site, whenever I try to watch a video the ad doesn't play (I assume an ad is supposed to be before every video) and as a result there are no video controls. I can pause by clicking, but anything else, such as full screen, is impossible. I don't use any form of adblocker, and I have no idea why this is happening. I use a chromebook, and it is possible my version of chrome is out of date, but I don't know how to fix that or if that would affect this in the first place. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated!
So yesterday I bought a Samsung 8 series NU8000 65 inch, and I need help setting it up... I can't get a picture that I'm happy with. I've looked into stuff online but it has not helped... Anyone wanna help me out and explain it to me like I'm 4?
Hello! So I'm a new college student, going into cinematography and right now I have written a short film/some videos I want to make, and while I have a shotgun mic(Im still new to getting a studio made and everything I need) and I need some wireless Lav mics that are budget, with the whole transmitter and receiver(all together up to $50? if possible),and then also ones that can hook up to a budget/affordable extermal recording device(up to $70 if possible?). I have to build my equipment list up very slowly as I work only part time while attending so I cant afford much and Im saving for other things like lighting, boom poles, etc.I can go up to $100 if possible for both, and I dont have an iphone nor does my friend so we cant use those to simply record to that and export to my laptop. If anyone has experience with any of this or can help let me know, google has somewhat confused me with all the different reviews too.because I'm new to what I'm looking for regarding film making equipment(I havent gotten to that point in college yet as far as classes,I just really want to start making things and Im jumping in and doing my best researching).I wish I could get ahold of RT crews to help, but that wont happen lol.
Hey listen, the new site is great and all, I'm glad the new video player doesn't crash my browser anymore, but there feels like a few things are wrong. First off, what happened to the "watched" marker on videos you've seen already. The old site would tell me when I've watched a video, and would even have a little red progress bar to tell me how much I'd watched Second, I feel like "My Watchlist" is a little useless because when I finish a video, the next recommended video isn't the next video in the watch list, so you have to go back into the watchlist and pick the next video. Third sorting through "series" is a hassle because they decided to use icons and not lists. Maybe give me the choice to choose list or icons, or make a hybrid I'm curious what other people think, and if they have any problems with the new site
Difficult to explane in the title but i just added nomad of nowhere to my watch list today true the new roosterteeth site. For some strange reason now i cant access the site at all when i enter svod.roosterteeth.com it loads and then turns to a blank grey site with nothing on it. That i might ask here if anybody else experienced the same or just me?
For a while now, I'm talking months, I haven't been able to watch a video on the site consistently. 98% of videos usually get the 1st 3-4 minutes then it stops streaming, I have been using YouTube to consume most of the content, the issue is I'm paying for First but unable to use it. It's the same issue on Chrome, Firefox and Edge. I have no other issues with any other website and no issues while gaming. Most of the time it will just stop streaming, sometimes it tells me to use a modern browser (all are up to date). So far I have tried; Clearing cache, history, cookies, etc. Re-installing browsers, and manually deleting folders and removing regedits, after un-installing. Windows 10 is up-to-date. Kaspersky is up-to-date, as are graphic drives. OS and browsers are install on a SSD. Any suggestions? Thanks
I need a cheap (600 or below) touch screen windows laptop for school that has lots of battery life. Portability isn’t the highest concern (I’m already lugging around a huge backpack, it wouldn’t be much more) but I do want something with the build quality to last me for a long time. I’d like it to be able to do some extremely basic cad (sketchup, autodesk fusion 360, autodesk inventor student edition, not really any assemblies, just parts), but more importantly it has to be able to run word processing/powerpoint apps and internet browsers. Just for options though, I’d like to compare it with something in the same price range, meets the same criteria, except not touch-screen.
I've seen this question pop up a lot but never saw an answer, what are the specs of the headphones or at least if they are worth buying?
Is it just me or do they not have a certificate anymore for their SSL?
Hey guys, I've got an Elgato I got a few years ago (so not the 60fps elgato), and I've been doing videos and Let's Plays with it for a while, but always at the expense of lowering the TV volume so my microphone used for commentary wouldn't capture the game audio. Last time I tried to wear headphones so I could listen to the game while recording, the elgato wasn't capturing game audio. Anybody know how to listen to game audio through headphones while still capturing game footage AND audio?
I'm trying to figure out how I can render video's on a remote server. I've watched examples where a file is loaded into a shared folder. A user logs into a remote windows server. And loads the file into software on the server. Usually through a bit of Adobe magic. However I'd like to render video similar to Linus. His workflow allows the files to be dumped and loaded into a separate server. With the server's hardware rendering the video in the background automatically. Very little input from the user was required. As opposed to using a personal computer to render the video; waiting for the video to finish before I can accomplish anything else. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, I'm all ears.
