Hello all! This is my first time starting a new topic in a forum so hopefully this goes well! 

I thought I would start a thread about the American Gods adaptation currently on STARZ. I was so excited when I heard it was being adapted to a TV series and I was not disappointed! The first season has ended already and even thought it strayed from the book I love how it gave more information on the world and really developed some of my favorite characters that I didn't get enough time with in the book. 

I also feel the show is really pushing boundaries in it's depiction of religion and religious deities as well as a really interesting commentary on the current state of the world we live in. A great depiction between the old gods and the new and those caught in between. 

So what do you guys think of the show? Did it stray too far from the book?did you read the book before the series?  Were you totally confused for the entire series? Were there too many dicks? Lets talk!
