Revivification

I never expected to be back on the RT site again, let alone to have all of my info from past website incarnations still here. I'm most looking forward to reconnecting with people again, if they manage to find their way back. Let me know who else is around!

Release Notes
No sure if this is the best place to ask, but...is there a way to auto-hide the red bar that shows video progress again on the RT site? I like that it shows up on mouse hover along with the other controls, but all controls used to auto-hide and now it's everything except the red progress bar. Having the bar always visible and slowly moving is very distracting. It still seems to auto-hide normally in full-screen mode.

I visited my parents for the first time since February in a (mostly) socially safe way - we were outside most of the time and didn't get in close contact, especially indoors. It was a wild weekend: Lots of cool birds (especially starlings!) The citronella tiki torches actually seemed to keep bugs away Saw what was likely a raven Burgers from the grill S'mores by the campfire Bats squeaking Heard yipping, might have been coyotes, might have been dogs Heard what was likely a moose in the middle of the night Later heard what was likely a fox Saw a deer in the super early morning (and more bats!) The hummingbirds have no fear Saw a deer get hit by a car - driver was ok, his car was damaged but was able to drive away after the sheriff did all the stuff he needed to do Heard and saw a hawk Helped my father take down 35' scaffolding columns Had an asthmatic episode (I don't have asthma, this was only the second time I've ever experienced not being able to breathe normally) Temporarily lost my voice Finally saw the indigo bunting It was a really nice break from the city. I did/saw/heard more in 48 hours than I usually do in 2 weeks at home.

It snowed a lot on May 11 (though none of it stuck). Today I had the AC on in my car because it's at least 80*. Spring lasted a grand total of about 15 days this year.

Tonight I got to dance on a Zoom call with Jack, Chelsea, Jackie, and other fabulous members of the #RTCommunity during DJ Jonk. It was so much fun! Then I stayed up and made some new friends in RTTV late night chat. After all this time, I'm still so amazed at how much this community has become such a big part of my life. Ironically, stay-at-home has pulled me a bit adrift from this world as I focus on life closer to the home. I'm hoping tonight will let me direct some energy to my RT groups and get some stuff happening again. Much love to you all! Stay safe out there, and make it a priority to find things that make you smile.

RT Maine
I want to pass along a question I was asked this week; what's your favorite thing about the quarantine/work from home world? I know it seems odds, but let's try and find some positive things to share. For me, I've been enjoying the short commute from my couch to my computer table. It's also been nice to listen to music without headphones while I work.

Hello all, I know I've been very quiet here in the last month, but life has been turned a bit upside down for me too in March. The PAXEast party was different this year, but still a lot of fun, so thank you to those that came! In an effort to give you all something to look forward to, I've been streaming seasons of RvB on Thursday and Sunday evenings at 7 pm on Discord. Season 4 will be this Thursday, April 2nd. Any in-person meet-up that might have happened for ICD has been cancelled before it was even planned, but I do still want to do an online gaming event on Saturday, April 4th. Head over to our Discord server to join in to the planning. I hope everyone is doing well, practicing social distancing, and not going crazy with all the changes that have been happening. Make sure you stay up-to-date with the Maine CDC website, the govenor's website, and your local town website, and information is constantly being updated. Stay safe everyone!

We turned 4 yesterday! Happy Birthday (or Anniversary?) to RT Maine! Maybe we should do something this weekend to celebrate?
