This week is all about community news: AH Live, AVNPT, RTX and Anniversary shindigs! Then, we talk food. And maybe tease the idea of a new community cookbook?!!!
FIRT!
Also in USPS defence my postcard (I'd tagged Chelsea on Friday) did have to also travel all the way to Australia - which wouldn't have helped none. But omg the excitement I felt when I realised it had finally arrive!
...and now I just need to get like a pinboard or magnetic whiteboard so I can have it up on display (along with the signed pokemon polaroid from Larry).
I have a pretty good multi-use chili recipe that can yall can use and it's pretty cheap too. It is as follows.
1lbs ground beef
1 packet of taco seasoning (enough to season the meat)
1 jar of salsa (like the tostitos ones I can't remember the ounce sizes)
Brown the beef and add the taco seasoning. You can also add other stuff like fresh onions, garlic, and other spices.
Once beef is browned dump in the salsa and let it cook until everything has heated up. It's done at this point but you can also top with cheese, sour cream, or anything you normally throw on your tacos.
You can scale this up or down pretty easily I've also mixed in queso with the salsa. Use whatever salsa and taco seasoning you like. The salsa basically covers your wet and your vege, the multi-use is if you add more salsa it makes a pretty stellar dip or if you add more meat it becomes more of a sloppy joe.
I came up with this because I am lazy and like to just throw something together that isn't much of a hassle. This dish/dip has been a banger every time I've made it.
Edit: I'm pretty sure this has been done before but for those that haven't thought of it here you go.
