@PunkJestyr also the reason I went to the wrong place initially is because there is no official DMV in either sister city I live by, just auditor's offices and private businesses and I just looked up DMV on google maps

@rochelle-jp don’t worry, there are people having way dumber moments than that out there. I work in an auto parts store where we partner with some shops and they plaster our name on their business (like “Shop name”, with the subtitle of “parts-store-name auto care”) and they use our parts exclusively etc. This couple comes into the store I work at demanding we fix something another of our locations apparently fixed but didn’t do a good job. They kept saying it was one of our stores in some other state and finally I realized they were talking about one of our partner auto cares…which we have nothing to do with as far as warranting work. They were standing in a store with no garage bays or mechanics anywhere in sight telling me we needed to work on their car lol
