I was reading this. Yes of course it's still experimental, if it wasn't then we would be using it no? All that you stated about the brain is true, but that means simply finding a way to deal with it just like with any form of technology (always easier said than done of course, but unfortunately that is life). And as for changing itself, it would all depends on how you go about putting in that information and seeing what causes it to trigger a change. Everything is syfy until it's done then it's just expected or normal (light-bulbs, planes, spaceships, etc), and while there isn't any brain chip (that I am aware of) all it takes is for a group of people to put their combined minds to it to figure it out even if it takes years. People like you are pointing out the flaws, which is good no anger or disrespect from me. Those flaws being pointed out are allows to to think further outside of the box, as well as fix the issues if possible (even if we fail, it's better to try and fail then to never try at all). However only thinking like that wont allow us to move further into the future. I too have been studying and working, currently I am working on getting my bachelors in Biology so that I may get further studying into this particular area.
