Because electricity is for n00bs.
This has been my standard forever. No matter how much time I actually spend preparing my brain doesn't seem to care XD
I've been pretty obsessed with the Escape The Dark series of board games, specifically the Dark Castle, from Themeborne. If you haven't heard of it, it's a rouge like sort of board game where you randomly build the castle (deck of scenario cards) and roll dice against monsters, enemies or scenarios that happen in that chapter, goal of the game is to escape the castle with everyone still alive. The art is incredible and is what initially drew me in, couple it with the eerie background music (I'm using the cassette) and maybe dim lights and candles and you've got a very memorable game for friends. It takes the best parts of what I love about D&D (the atmosphere, suspense and teamwork) and condenses it down to a game that lasts about 40 minutes or so. If this retro style commercial they made doesn't get you excited, then I don't know what will! ( https://youtu.be/FGBkz9J4neU?si=EZ_GJtMhv9PYNH_K )

About two years ago-ish I found a cool dude that was forming a weekly DnD group through roll20. He was based out of Dallas and was our DM we ran a few weeks and had quite a bit of fun. I came in as a gnome cleric and played it as a person who's main fault was his over zealous curiosity. We had discussed me coming into Dallas(I live about an hour east of it) to play with his in person group, but we never really got the ball rolling on it. The group ended up breaking up and I meant to keep in contact but life did not allow that, the guy was an amazing DM and fun as hell to chill with over discord. I got to thinking the other day, " well I am back to living in Dallas, and it sure would be cool to join another one of this dude's campaigns." Unfortunately he is no longer under the same user name on discord. So, what I am hoping to accomplish here is to find my lost DM. All I can tell you is that the campaign started around the beginning of 2017 maybe end of 2016. I have some user names from discord emailing me, I would appreciate anyone's help here. (these are their discord tags and roll20 at the time ) We have Jubbikami, ThomasTiltTrain ( I seem to think he was the DM not sure though) FlippinMuffins, AbsurdPrince, and Xeroxium. I hope someone here can help out with this.
We are hosting/running a RWBY D&D West March kinda game what that means is you will make D&D characters that are not affiliated with the show. You can then RP or play out D&D scenarios with other Hunters. There is no limit to the amount of people that can join, and no D&D experience needed we can either teach it to you or you can role play solely. If you are interested or have any questions you can join our discord and ask away. ;https://discord.gg/VKTGxez
Hello, I believe if you take the mechanics and comedic elements of board games such as Sheriff of Nottingham or the Red Dragon Inn, which have both been played to great success on Let's Roll, and add on the realistic stakes of Hardcore Tabletop it would make for a spectacle to behold. Combining those 2 elements gets rid of the repetitive nature of monopoly boosting comedic value (Gerki, and characters created through different accents) and introduces a game that is funny in it's core to a realistic incentive like money. Gold coins could have monetary values to them. 100 dollars 200, 300. On the physical table they could possibly use nice prop coins with those values. I fear to generate return perhaps one board game must extend 1 season long, as it was with Monopoly, but if the money values go down on each game to a significant but not bank breaking degree i think having different games of the same caliber could sustain an entire season. Thank you, Roberto Rubiera
We've got a cool and characterful card & dice game that we're trying to rally interest around with a mind to one day crowdfund. It's called Interdimensional Nutters and is a stand alone game in the vein of Star Wars Destiny, Magic The Gathering. We've been play testing for a fair while now. The game seems super fun, definitely more than the sum of its parts. Please head over to our site and take a peek and if you dig what you see please sign up to our mailing list and like our facebook to get irregular updates. Also let us know what you think. > https://tricor1.wixsite.com/nutters
I've just started working on some of my own DnD 5e custom character sheets... and I love them. I've opened commissions for them all across every website I know, so why not try to do so here as well? I can't show you here, but if you want to see my first example feel free to check me out on instagram @ Vagarye or message me here or on discord @ Phoenix#6242 Related topic: If anyone just wants to chat and talk about DnD experiences, or maybe even do DnD art related collabs I am SO open! I'd love to meet new people and make new friends!

Are they going to release the original campaign for the public? I would totally buy it so I could run it with my players.
Does anyone here play in the Starfinder Society?
Hey fellow Rooster teeth fans. I am currently participating in a Rube Goldberg tournament at my school and victory is based on points. One of the ways we get points is by having 1000 views on our vlogs. We are 300 views away and I was hoping some of you could give me a click or two on the link below. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance for being the best community on the planet. Rube Goldberg Vlog Link
Anyone played or ST'd Exalted, Vampire, Garou, Changeling, etc....? I've got over 20 years experience of White Wolf LARPs and table top, if anyone's interested in discussion......
Hey All, Shameless plug for my card game, i created, designed and did all the art work for it, we are currently working on a PC/Mobile version of the game. https://www.facebook.com/stoopidtcg/ Would love to hear your Feedback on the game.. :) Trust me, it's a super fun game to play.
so about a year ago I began my first D&D campaign a year and some odd years ago (around oct. 2016) in a homebrew world, I've been having a huge blast with D&D, we finished that campaign and started another campaign set in the same world, but playing D&D just once a week just doesn't feel like enough, I'm trying to find a group who has room for a kinda new player who wants to join a new adventure with new friends, and I figure the best place to start my search would be my favorite community and the place I first got an interest for D&D (Heroes and Halfwits was my first ever taste of D&D lol) so if you got room in your group hit me up <3
I'll edit this later to be more useful as an OP, but this is a place to play out random fun DnD encounters with any character in some situation or another. The first and current scenario is my Teifling Druid Ignatious Starstuff, struck by the beauty of a fiddling Half-elf, has walked up on stage to flirt with her and quickly covered for it by asking to join in on the Ukulele to the set. The band leader is leary of this and the audience isn't keen on the disturbance, but they're allowing it to go on. The half-elf thinks he is cute in a brave but dumb about flirting way. Current DM @Fly presides. And has asked for a performance check.
Anyone else pick up the holiday pack from CAH or get one in the past? This is my first time buying one and I am having it sent to my husband for a little bit of holiday fun. If you haven't heard about this years, click here. It sold out in one day, much like most of their expansion packs.
Am interested if anyone else like me has found their way back into Warhammer 40k with the new edition and what you think of it? I'd previously fallen away in 7th edition due to rules over-complication and too much power gaming. Although I really like the look of the new primaris marines, the scale increase makes my older marines look like children when standing alongside them. Loving the new Death Guard models as well!
Is anyone going to the newest PAX? It's completely about tabletop gaming and it's in Philadelphia next month.
We've created a board game influenced heavily by classic combat adventure/dice games Hero Quest & Space Crusade. It will combine strategy, quests, roleplay, upgrades and will be playable by up to 7 people. I’ve posted on a couple of forums trying to get the lay of the land when it comes to the popularity of games like that. I love games like this but do people would want a modernised effort set in an original universe? Are miniature r[g/combat games still tickling your whiskers?
