Introducing "By It's Cover", the show where we judge books by their covers. Join Cole, Jordan, Yssa, and Chris as they un-cover Harem Doujin Circles, Reincarnated Spiders, and Forgotten Soldiers.
Dear RT, why does it feel like you keep trying to cancel my favorite podcast? AKA why is this only 9 min?? I only ever see people praising this show and obviously they keep bringing it back so WHAT'S THE DEAL?? I keep getting my hopes up only to have it taken away again....
@sjsimpson Seeing this across the board. So many shoes seem to be changing dramatically or going to an 8 week schedule to be swapped in and out with other shows. Not loving this. Really hope RoosterTeeth is paying attention to the comments sections throughout their shows especially on their site
so what is fanservice now? Are you trying a new format? Will it be just segments like this? Literally just saying that your not sure and are trying new things would be better than nothing
@AThirstyFish I think these are the post shows they recorded, and can’t waste, so they’re releasing them in place of the podcast until they get caught up.
I know I'm not exactly saying anything new, but it sure would be nice to have it actually addressed as to what the heck is going on with Fan Service. It's just weird to bring it back again and then stop with no warning or comment.
I think the reason Fan Service will never work is it's about anime. So like the small anime convention I just went to, if it doesn't cover the shows that I'm interested in then I won't watch it. Why go to a panel about Persona 5 if I don't have a PS4? I can't play the game so I'm not really interested in the panel so I'll go to a different panel. I hope my ramblings made sense.
@Decrozi That depends on personal preference, I love listening to these dorks get passionate about anime/manga, even if I’ve never seen or read what they’re telling about. Example: I’ve never seen Dragon Ball Z, I really enjoyed the episode where they ranked the characters, regardless of my ignorance on the show and characters.
@Decrozi Podcasts talking about specific things have never had a great track record at Rooster Teeth. There was that sports podcast that got cancelled, brought back, and then cancelled again. There was also that film/tv podcast hosted by Jon that lasted only a few episodes.
@EloImFizzy1996 there was another film podcast that ran for about 20+ weeks called screenplay that got dropped too.
I think the only specific topic podcasts that lasted were the video game specific shows.
The patch had 188 eps and glitch please had 88 eps. That's a little more than 5 years between the two, so that's not too bad.
