y'all are crazy. Pumpkin Pie's the best. Ham's a close second.
Stuffing sucks, it's designed to be a lesser experience than everything around it. If Thanksgiving were an anime, Stuffing would be the filler arc.
And white gravy is best gravy. Fight me.
You did remind me that scalloped potatoes exist though. And for that, I thank you.
Wine just pairs well with everything, so it's understandable, but I agree with Ham>Turkey. Surprised that Mac n' cheese wasn't golden honey, because cheese lol
Fuck all y'all, pumpkin pie deserves to be vastly higher. Either none of you have had a good pumpkin pie, with it's sponge-like, creamy texture, crumbly crust, and a dollop of whipped cream on top for good measure, or you need new taste buds.
Also, my family never does jellied cranberries but cranberry sauce. I don't like either, but my brother absolutely loves cranberry sauce on squash. And I gotta disagree with the scalloped vs. mashed. Mashed is way better, especially paired with gravy and creamed corn. Those three are the golden honey when together. Otherwise it's between pumpkin pie and corn for me, with mashed, cream corn, and gravy as guaranteed S-tiers. Like, corn on the cob is god-tier but pumpkin pie is the only thing that can comfortably rival it.
Despite living in the south my entire life I will never understand how mac 'n cheese is a thanksgiving food!! Makes no sense to me.
(Also, I agree with the pumpkin pie assessment. I hate pumpkin)
1. Ham /is/ superior. Maggie and Sam were right.
2. I have never had a green bean casserole I enjoyed.
3. Cranberry sauce is the shit.
4. My Golden Honey would probably be the stuffing. I throw down for stuffing.
