I’m ready... I’m 6 days from now
Oh, come on! Come to papa now!
I'm still hoping they do an Immersion of this.
An Immersion of... DnD? How would that even work? And wouldn't it just be LARPing at that point?
I'm thinking more a situation where you need to roll a D20 when ever you want to do anything and random bad things will happen to you if you roll a 1, plus a DM who can throw random events at you just because.
Maybe something like the Fallout Immersion? Like have Micheal and Gavin (and maybe others, for a full party), sent to go on a quest while a Dungeon Master follows them around, using dice rolls to decide how luck will play out in their adventure. Other aspects like levelling up, classes, etc could also be devised somehow.
And to this day I still have absolutely no idea what DnD is about
It's a RPG about whatever the DM wants it to be, or so I understand. I've never played myself, even though I really want to. Most of what I know about it comes from Heroes and Halfwits, and a website called dndbeyond.com. I would recommend checking them and similar shows and sites if you want to learn more about the game.
Wew, thanks
It's not really about anything. There are a shitton of different story lines you can run. You build a character and basically just go about completing the quest however you like. The DM is there to progress the story as you complete objectives, roll for enemies you encounter, act as NPCs, decide if you succeed in doing things, etc etc. The DM is essentially God.
It's super fun, and there are infinite possibilities for how a story can go. It's like a video game where you don't have to worry about the limitations of the programming and you can get creative in how you solve problems. Plus, bludgeoning an entire village of antagonistic barbarians to death is hella satisfying.
I hope they do more Hero's and Halfwit's. I mean it doesn't have to be right away, as I understand production takes time, but I want to know whether it got renewed. I really hope it does.
Wait, it's not re-newed? Damn, I want more of that stuff.
We don't know. That is what I was saying. It is a big production for them and it might not be getting the numbers it needs or attracting enough advertising revenue. I mean it is a shoot that requires long form recordings while bringing in outside staff/freelancers (such as Frank) and expensive props and equipment. I would say that one thing it has going for it is the sunken cost. There is also the fact of the recent divorce of Geoff and Griffon might play into things. All this is just me reading into things but as far as I know they haven't confirmed it's renewal.
@hunter559 I think Geoff was possible doing a new season with all new characters and he might even be considering being the DM. Also from what I understand Griffon will most likely not be involved because at the moment she is focused on her career and has been spending most her time in Oregon. I really do hope for a new season and I feel like the show can benefit from the addition of new cast members. Off the top of my head I know that Jack Pattillo, Miles Luna, and Mica Burton all love D&D and would make great additions to the group.
yeah its my fault, I really enjoyed season 1, but I never started S2, I want to re-watch that few episodes, but then I realize thats 5 hours, and well I haven't found enough time to start watching that, its in the pipeline though
In the last scenario, they were using the pieces from Lord of the Rings RISK. Recognized them immediately.
It's all the mother of the twelve year old boy would buy there child.
Now I want to watch A Centaur's Life again.
Silly @gus , the best job for a centaur is obviously a porn actor. Hung as a horse? Duh. I'd definitely take that for a million dollars.
It's so good seeing Frank again. Even though he threw so much shade on my 12-year-old boy ass.
its ok, you'll stop being a 12-year old boy soon, then its smooth sailing
any form of lie detection would never be accepted lol
my two favourite RT shows in one, brilliant
Wait... How long has MDB been in 2160p???! (also yay for not being called 4K)
