The reason that girl couldn't find the diamonds is because the quartz shattered them.
As a cashier myself, I don't see why the guy had such a problem. There are customers a lot crazier than Gus.....
I had a customer who wanted $50 in change but typed it in wrong on the machine and got $.05. Once I explained it to her, she paid for two separate transactions just to get the change she wanted...... people were pissed!!
How is that strange? I work as a cashier and have and people put in the wrong cashback, then grab like a candy bar to get the change they needed. That isn't really odd. Nor a big deal.
Weirdest interaction I ever had with a customer was when I touched this guys eggs. At the place I worked, we were required to check the eggs in each carton before bagging them because no one wants to buy broken eggs. It wan't like we inspected each egg for cracks we pinched the rows towards the center and if they didn't shift they had probably broken and gooped on the container. So I open the carton and pinch the eggs like I normally did and he flips out at me and yells that hes not buying them now, since I had touched them and my hands were all germ y from handling money. I get being cautious, but I had just bagged a bunch of fruits and veg for this guy and the thing he decided to yell at me for touching was the thing whose outside you don't ever eat unless your insane.
So what I'm getting from that story is that the customer was planning on licking raw eggshell.
Whatever floats his boat, I guess.

It seems that whenever Gus interacts with a person who he does not know personally, they always make a problem for gus in some way shape or form
Maybe these people know who he is and are just doing it on purpose. "I bet this'll be in RTAA one day!"
People are dumb and I love to see Gus' interaction with them.
Shout out to the store people at Universal Studios Florida. When I told them I wanted pennies for the penny press machine, he got me the shinest pennies he could find! People are good, I promise Gus!
Maybe the problem is with Gus and not other people, in less every person besides Gus is an idiot.

I work a cash register, if someone said "I want 2 shiny pennies" I'd hand it over cause frankly I don't care enough to have an argument with someone over a fucking penny
Honestly, id deny him the pennies cause it's a stupid fuckin request and I would want to see how upset he would get over fuckin pennies, and knowing Esther and Gus, the shit that would hit the fan would be Biblical
Weird that they have the register setup in a way so you can see the money inside it.
It probably wouldn't be visible to regular people but Gus is super-humanly tall, so... y'know.
