SO, what election was this? Presidential is on the 8th. Just curious.
All states have early voting in case you are not able to vote on election day
Eric_Parker, not all, but most. Texas is one though. All states do have absentee voting in some way or another, though.
Thanks! I knew about absentee, but not sure why I never thought about early voting places. I assumed they were the same and that it was a mail in, and not an actual polling place.
I'm unclear why they went on a field trip to vote
To encourage people to go and vote. There's a big part of the US population that don't vote, because they don't think their vote matters, or just don't care. This is why a lot of influential people show themselves voting.
People 18-30 usually don't vote in large numbers. It's sad really because they are a huge voting bloc.
i wouldn't blame anyone that didn't want to vote though, considering the choices they have.
RT has made at least one video every election since it was founded (this year's will be the third); in fact I think they've made one both for registering and for voting. Burnie in particular has been very vocal about the importance of voting in the past.
I find it odd that there's a voting station in a grocery store.
It's so weird. I've never voted somewhere where there was an active business going on all around me.
Am I the only one who thinks Chis is too adorable?
Do they not have assigned places to vote? I've always had to vote at the same place.
Ditto, we get assigned a poling station that you have to vote at.
In Texas, you can vote early at any official voting location in your county.
wait. are you THE bassoonist??
Like from Ray's streams?
I mailed in my early voting ballot in Washington last week! I'm 18 so this is my first election
I feel sorry for you America, you have to choose between a compulsive liar who embodies everything that is wrong with the political system, and a mentally unstable racist oompa-loompa.
Sorry aboot that, Canada's nice this time of year, probably because Canada's always awesome.
We appreciate, and need, your sympathy. We may also be needing refugee status into your country, it's too early to tell.
3 party that'll never win too
He's not racist, stop saying that, mentally unstable absolutely but not wanting illegal immigrants is not a race thing
Actually we can vote for write in candidates. Meaning you literally write the name of anyone you want to vote for and it that person is eligible to be elected then they get the vote. Which is what I did. So that means I can blame everyone else for whichever outcome the election results in.
Wait wait wait. You can vote in a store ?!?!?! Usa keep surprising me.
so pretty much a pointless video
Just like your comment....
Americas voting stations are in... grocery stores?? For their presidential election you can take care of voting and buying your eggs in the same place? Wild.
We try to have them everywhere, or at least, the idea should be to make it as convenient as possible to vote (why voting day is still not a national holiday here is beyond me). I voted at a local community center, but they have them at some schools in my area, too. Makes it harder for young people to blow off voting when there's booths right on their college campus.
They just want to make it easy because people here are too lazy to vote. If you put it where the food and liquor are then they'll vote maybe 85% of the time.
Yeah I thought the same thing! It's amazing and actually pretty smart, in my country the only place to vote is in schools which are assigned depending on the zone you live and also by the first letter of your last name i.e I have to vote about 50 minutes from where I live.
This was the first I'd heard of it. I voted at the City Hall/ Civic Center.
