Re: the cilantro discussion - I'm allergic to cilantro and whenever I tell people that they say "oh no, it's a genetic thing where it makes it taste like soap, not an allergy" and then I have to say "no, it burns my mouth and throat and makes it very difficult to breathe, please do not put cilantro in my food." Unfortunately all of my favorite cuisines use cilantro and it doesn't always need to be listed on ingredient lists, so it can be difficult to avoid.
