Wow, Tyler says he's a huge soccer fan and then proves he knows fuck all about soccer
No glowing puck! Watch it in HD, dammit, or just watch for the hits. Also: Yay Jon for a) mentioning hockey, and b) actually knowing what he was talking about.
The glow puck was SO BAD! How do people NOT see how stupid this shit looks? Here, let's try this scenario, if you "can't track the puck" in hockey, then let's install a chip in every football, so we can track who has the ball at all times in the NFL. "It'll be SO COOL! We can see when the ball is being rushed or passed because of the color trails! And it'll help newcomers to the sport understand what's happening because of all the highlights all over the screen!" That's how ANYONE that's in favor of bringing back the glow puck sounds... It was stupid then, it's still stupid now. There's a reason it isn't around anymore.
That being said, I am in favor of chips in the puck and goal posts to aid in questionable calls, goal reviews and the like.
This episode was especially funny. Please have more Jon on the show.
no one talks about how Josh Norman was a dick to Odell Beckham Jr. also
Oh they were both shit that game sportsmanship wise and I think both deserved to be kicked out of the game after the THIRD confrontation on the field. However, Beckham running down the field to make deliberately helmet contact is clear intent to harm/injure. So totally deserved the suspended game. I haven't seen footage of Norman doing anything to that extent, but if he did, then he should sit out a game too.
ref the football (soccer) segment. do you have foreigners without a US passport on you nation team? or do you categories people with dual citizenship as foreigners? what team do you play for with a dual citizenship? you got europeans in MLS that kids look up to, why can't they look up to a player with dual citizenship that plays for the US national team?
Completely agree with Jack for MLB. Each umpire has their own strike zone and it is such bullshit. Strike zone should always be right above the knees to the bottom of the lettering and over the plate. Bullshit calls can ruin a game for a team and it's not fair. On top of that, pitchers have enough to worry about learning the batters on the other team, and they shouldn't have to deal with learning moving strike zones for each umpire.
what abby wambach said may upset a few people but it really needed to be said,in football(soccer)players are changing nationalities on a yearly basis(not just in the US) for the sole reason of getting playtime on the biggest events(world cup)just so they can get a better job at a better club on a much higher paid contract, its been happening for the past 10years and is only getting worse
i think you're blowing the problem out of proportion. if you change nationality its because your to shit to play for your own national team. so you switch to a shittier team . and they give you a passport because they see this as an opportunity to raise the level of their national team. you can't request a place on the brazilian squad and then wait for the premier league to call.
in fairness you are wright about raising the quality for a national side, but you don't need to play for a big team like brazil to get noticed(especially at a world cup). These days premier league teams are looking for any quality players they can find especially in developing footballing countries because you won't have to pay 50million pounds for just one player(as you would do for a quality brazilian footballer),which is why so many players are choosing to chop and change nationalities for playing time. There ain't much loyalty left in football and i'd hate to see it affect international football as well.I'd like to see professional footballers pick just one country and stick to it regardless of weather their good enough to play for them or not
but what developing footballing country that gives out passports to foreigners are able to qualify for the world cup? can you give me an example? maybe i just don't now enough about this.
.
unfortunately there are alot of national teams doing it,qualification for the world cup can be far easier in some places than others,in CONCAF(confederation of north, central america and caribbean association football) alone there 35 teams competing teams and thats just 1 region, you've also got(don't quote me on this)209 countries competing for just 32 spots of a world cup.But if your looking for players that are doing this,i think the highest profile story that i know of is diego costa. He's a chelsea striker who has played at highest level in spain and england and is a world class footballer,he represented brazil twice in 2013 at international level and then decided to switch counties and play for spain four months later in 2014 because spain had both a better squad and a better chance of winning another world cup
Please never have risinger on here again. He is just hating on sports full time.
i 100% relate to jon. i watch this show but i have no idea what the fuck theyre talking about. the only sport i follow is aussie rules football so every sport they talk about on here is just makes me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm so happy that SOMEONE talked about soccer, it put a small smile on my face.
Shoutout to Cole, fellow dyslexic right here man
