Glad to see Enjoy The Show is still going. That was a bit of a gap between episodes.
Yay, you're still alive!
I was so worried they had cancelled you! My day has been made to know you're still alive
I actually really enjoyed the Warcraft movie. I totally agree with the "humans are the worst part of the movie" and that "Garrona" was the worst part of the movie. But i generally really liked it. But that's because i've read every single Warcraft book and played every single Warcraft game multiple times over, so i could fill in the gaps where the writing failed.
I also totally feel that Warcraft The Movie the first movie, shoulda started with Rise Of The Horde. To establish the history of the orcs and the atrocities they did to the Draenei. Then have the second movie be what was the first movie.
This would give you time to introduce the goods guys, the bad guys, and the nature of the Orcs. Then the second movie introduces the human characters and allows them to be established a lot more.
I totally agree, but honestly I think that a movie was the wrong medium for Warcraft. Something like the Marvel Netflix shows would work better since it'd allow them to deal with how dense that story is. Doing that would meant that they wouldn't need to try to cram so much into one movie, since the first war could easily be a trilogy on it's own. That being said, I didn't hate the human characters that much, and I'd rank Doomhammer as worse then Garona on her own, but on par with her with her relationship with Lothar, for worst part of the movie.
@DarkTempler7 That I also totally agree with. But within the confines of a movie, there are like 20 solid starting points for a good movie in the Warcraft Lore. And they chose a midway point between two good stories. Which still could have worked. But they would have had to add at least another hour to the movie, and the general dialogue writing and the Garona romance stuff was just so bad that might have killed the movie on its own if it was that long.
Yes it was. Though I find some of the changes, like the orcs never having drank the demon blood, kind of took away from the potential impact of a Rise of the Horde storyline, though that's just based on the movie's universe. All that in mind, it was still much better then I expected it to be, though I was salty about it being a live action movie from the beginning.
why is this on cowchops channel?
There was Matrix Online an MMORPG that was pretty solid.
My general want for a live action gaming adaptation would be Borderlands, but as a television show. These games have incredible scope and a wide array of diverse and interesting characters that couldn't really be given justice in a film. It would be very tough to adapt, but combining the whole sci-fi/western aspects into a crazy colorful epic sorta like Guardians of the Galaxy could provide for an extremely interesting show. They sure would need a pretty big budget to make it all work though.
I'd love to see a show about B-Movies or Trash movies
Wouldn't that just be a condensed Theater Mode?
Hell yeah! My favourite talk show with my favourite Game of Thrones RT Employees! Jon Snow and Tormund Giantsbane !
YES ITS BACK!!
So glad this isn't cancelled, I just love people talking about movies, but then again who doesn't?
I'd love to hear you guys talk about elitism when it comes to film, like films such as Citizen Kane which is a very important if slightly dated film for modern audiences but some snobby film buffs act as if you can't have an opinion on a film if you haven't watched it 26 times and written a book analysing it.
Also, I'd be interested in hearing about films that have outstanding visual beauty. I'm talking Hero, The Fountain, Samsara, Tree of Life etc.
love this line up!
