On writer’s block (from John Green’s dad) “coal miners don’t get coal miners’ block” so it does seem to be a luxury for creators and not many others lol In the same brief comment, John notes how liberating it is to not be precious about first drafts because “it doesn’t really matter much if on a particular day I write beautiful and brilliant prose that will stick in the minds of my readers forever, because there’s a 90% chance I’m just gonna delete whatever I write anyway”

Just my 2 cents on helping with writers’ block (as a future English teacher) Not sure if y’all have ever tried freewriting, but basically it’s just writing what you’re thinking, stream of consciousness style with no grammar or spelling as long as you know what it’s about Also Playing with format is fun, like nobody says your sentences can’t be in little bubbles with arrows drawn to other points to start out (can also be done with notecards full of character elements or plot points so you can rearrange and play with the ordering of them)

Jordan's observation regarding sponsors on a Soccer Pitch has me messed up. Googled to see for myself, and now I cannot Un-see the uncanny valley. Even came across one where they painted in the back shadow to make it look like it was standing up.
