From Mississippi here: country ham is like thicker cut, usually pan fried kinda like bacon, very salty. You eat it with biscuits. I think what Yssa was talkin about is “Pork Roll” vs. “Taylor Ham”
I still think Eddy is crazy for hating milk and cookies (Seriously, Ruby would be so disappointed, Eddy!), but I do agree with his views on Turkey. It's so dry and it has no flavor, the only thing good is the stuffing but at that point just make a casserole and some chicken.
