Everything has to have an ending. And some endings hit you so got damn hard in your emotions you need a moment to recover from how good the ending of The Last of Us is.
@Murray_Oversby Yeah, he says it's the game's "fatal flaw" but I actually think it's one of the most brilliant parts of the game, that says a lot about the person playing because you only actually HAVE to kill the guy who has the scalpel to you. The other doctors will just cower in fear while you take her, and whether or not you kill them speaks volumes of the player's mentality throughout the game, and gets you thinking about the game's probably central theme: How far is too far for survival?
Thanks for doing this playthrough! I've never owned a Playstation so I never got to play this but always wanted to; now I've gotten to experience it, and it was great.
Yeah, that dry time shit in Texas is old and annoying. I'm not even a casual drinker. But what the fuck happened to separation of church and state, and how does that old ass law still hold up now, nonsense.
Srry, I had to comment about this as I live in Texas, carry on.
The entire game is made to not give you that choice at the end. Not every game is made for player agency over the story arc, they wanted to tell you a story, it’s not a choose your own adventure. And because of that it’s a powerful and impactful ending because you as the player have to reconcile with Joel’s decision
Wish they had talked about it a bit more. This games's got philosophical situations to cover. I remember being mad after my first play through in my early 20s. I'm 28 now and how I felt about Joel then vs now is completely different. I get it. But I like perspective. Great game. Looking forward to DLC and part 2.
