I think the show didn't get the complains. The complains was because microsoft themselves marketed XBox Series X as a 60fps machine and that 60fps would be standard. But then the biggest game for the machine arrives and it is 30fps. It's a problem of the promises you make and what you deliver. People buy consoles based on the marketing, and fake marketing is never a good thing.
I could not care any less about 30 or 60 fps on a single player game. High fps only really matters in competitive high level multiplayer. And for a CPU heavy game like Bethesda RPG’s always are, making that 60 fps is not worth the sacrifice of all the interactivity and depth the games have. Also given how the physics work in Bethesda games, with most things being interactable dynamic objects, the higher the frame rate the more unstable and prone to breaking the physics become.
