@R2.0 Right. Like all regular store bought crap milk tastes the same. If it's the "Generic store brand" for Safeway, Kings Soopers, etc. it's all from the same dairy, and tastes the same. But if you get it from a dairy, vs another dairy it's totally different. It will also change flavor throughout the year when local dairies change their cows to winter feed vs summer feed.

@Nindorel For real. A local dairy started doing milkman delivery and I signed up because their milk is WAY better than the store stuff. It costs more but it's worth it. Especially their chocolate milk. Holy fuck that is some good stuff.

This is why real parmesano is only from a certain region in Italy. If you even had the recipe to make the OG cheese but used cows from a different area, it would not taste the same.

Gav is very correct here. Americans follow policies enacted by the FDA, while England has the MHRA(?) to regulate how food is prepared for human consumption. The policies are typically a lot more strict in Europe than the US.

Gav for once is actually right. It's actually kinda strange they denied him. There's a lot of processes that go into making milk we drink. It only makes sense that it may be done differently across the pond. It's like how people talk about Mexican Coca-cola or like anything else.

Yeah FDA regulations nix anything coming into the US agriculturally. Just look at our eggs, only country that has to refrigerate them.

@KingQwerty the US is not the only country that refrigerates eggs, but also it extends the shelf life significantly. it's more of a processing thing than the actual egg re: refrigeration vs non-refrigeration
