@SeanAM I guess it's just an ad, but it's worked pretty well on me because I was not aware about new aliens game and look at me - I'm spending money on it right now 😅

@SeanAM The Trailers playlist, which you can click above, can answer your question. They've always done this but they don't do it everyday. And of course they're partnered.

@CaradocKaine A sponsored live stream was yesterday. Other RT channels have done so too. The vods will be up soon, I believe.

So we are getting straight ads now as "content" on the RT site. Good to know my first membership fee is going towards this "content".

does RT have some involvement with this project? While I understand the need to make money, it does seem kinda shady to be putting ads up on the app; as a sponsor I'm used to only seeing RT created content here.

@liquid_beans They are in partnership with Warner Bros, and their goal is to make money through sponsorship deals, does this really need to be asked? If you don't like this, you probably shouldn't be paying your First membership, anyway 🤷‍♂️

@liquid_beans plus, this game was made by a small indie Dev team of 50. They clearly wanna support it, so it gets patched, added content, and so do I 😎

@SmokeCheeba dude, the Alien franchise is owned by 20th Century, which is owned by Disney. NOT Time Warner. This isn't "corporate overlords" forcing RT to upload this. This is RT getting money to upload this. This is them being what they are: a business. So next time, do some research before blatantly whistling Dixie outta your ass.
