Hearing the story about the guy and the cigarettes took me back to my retail/food days. There are people that literally don't care about the product. They see something like that sign and I swear they have a radar for those types of things. They are purposely just being difficult.
@marieleelee Yeah but to be honest, isn't it a bit weird that they have this sign out saying "buy this for 5,26", but then the cashier doesn't even know which brand of cigarettes is meant with that. It does sound like false advertisement. But that doesn't take away that that guy was being a total dick about it.
At the home improvement store I work at someone threatened to blow up the store because they couldn't exit out a specific door and was asked to exit elsewhere. Another customer was asked by their own child to stop touching some carpet samples and in response they licked their hand and rubbed it on the samples. I've witnessed very little good will towards others during this time in my town and have grown more negative towards my community.
I work for a small McDonalds and boy are there alot of stupid customers, especially during this whole pandemic we have alot more regulations and the amount of people who do not read the signs that are literally everywhere is sad and than they get mad at us for something we have no control over 🙃
