@dunl7982 it's not that it's not as good, it's terrible and echoing. Choosing which mic you use is simple and should be done for every single thing she records. Working from home doesn't make the mic harder to use. Hell, I have people at my job that keep passwords on sticky notes but still know how to use the headset mic instead of the webcam mic. They work at a media company, they should understand media.

@hounvs they are using multiple programs at the same time. Normally computers don't like it when you try to have multiple programs using the same mic so those settings couldve been messed up. it also couldve been just a poor connection to the computer. computer and driver updates also reset settings and sometimes makes things not functional. there are a plethora of things that couldve went wrong and you don't know the reason why. This podcast is also livestreamed at a set time every week, so its also quite possible that they had to cut their losses and just use her Webcam mic so that they could still somewhat adhere to their schedule. So yes while it may seem just as simple as hitting a switch for you, there is much much more going on that you don't have the knowledge of to accurately troubleshoot the issue.
