@Liquidus_Snake0 I'll grant you that War of the chosen was a great add on and vastly improved Xcom 2, not that Xcom 2 was a bad game and I am going to move onto installing the long war mod for xcom 2 at some point. However, given the choice of recommending xcom and it's expansion or xcom 2 and it's expansion, I will choose Xcom 1 every time. The slightly cartoonish aesthetic worked better with the tone of the game than xcom 2's aesthetic did with it's tone, the music was better, and whilst the avenger acting as a mobile base was an interesting idea, I simply preferred Xcom 1's home base setup and the launching of satellites to any part of the world to expand Xcom's influence. But the biggest problem with Xcom 2 is that, even with the expansion, it's extremely poorly optimized. War of the chosen helps a lot, but there are still stuttering graphics and frame rates, there are still moments where the game briefly freezes during transitions between player actions before stuttering back to normal. Lastly the load times are abysmal, they're not so bad on the PC, not surprisingly, but the PS4 version is atrocious (I have both versions because I'm weird and can't resist a sale)
Don't get me wrong, I still like Xcom 2, even though it sounds like I'm shitting on it, because at the end of the day it's an Xcom game and Xcom is awesome, it's just that I would recommend the first one over the second.
