Is Youtube Becoming More Like Traditional TV?

I think the fact I'm commenting here says enough about what I think of Youtube; after the first adpocalypse I tried to find alternative methods of getting people's content as much as I could - using their own sites or alternative places they posted content - even if it was audio only (a lot of stuff I "watch" is really only audio anyway)... I've been done with Youtube blatant disregard for it's own customers and insistence on following the money (where nothing good grows only greed) especially given that those customers were the ones who made Youtube what it is today.

Been making YouTube content for many years. Me personally, understand how hard it is now for the small percentage of YouTubers who make a living off the platform to make a sustainable living. However, I have always looked at YouTube as more of an archive for my life and the things I like to do and games I like to play. I never once started YouTube in hopes to make money or a living off it. Just as a way to show friend and family and future family some the thing I did in the past. The modern day home video archive, and I love it.

Youtube is a joke, starting off as the everyones a star side to the lets go with big name companies and fuck the people who made youtube what it is.
