YouTube KILLING Small Channels!

What better way to keep big YouTube stars from misbehaving than by demonetizing every single small channel on the platform? BUT WAIT, THERE'S A TWIST!
Hearing this news makes me wonder if my brother and I should continue making videos on youtube. I mean the extra income would be nice, but with me working a part-time job, and not the best upload speeds, what chance do I truly have in getting a good start?
Honestly? Just keep going. They always say that the first 1,000 subs are the hardest but it'll be worth it when you can look back and see how far you've come. Alot of the big youtubers have been going at it for close to a decade. Nothing is easy when you first start doing it but give it time and effort and i'm sure you and your brother will get there. If you have passion for what you are making, make your videos more original/different to what's already out there and focus on the content than making a quick buck then i see no reason why you can't achieve it.
Youtube is dying, it has reached it's final stage where it only cares about what it has and couldn't give a fuck about the future... that's what having shareholders does to you.
