All the brilliant setting ideas you have for Bioshock (which sound awesome, don't get me wrong) don't actually mean anything to me unless the story is there and, with that story, the social commentary and breakdown. What Ken Levine was spectacular at doing was not just game design, but looking at extremist ideologies and picking them apart.
Persona 5 also got delayed.
i prefer Fallout:NV over Fallout:3 for the same reason i prefer SW:tor2 over the first one even though even though most people seem to feel the opposite and its that fallout:3 and SW:tor crashed so often during my attempts at playing them that it made them unplayable
Why am I not surprised that Ryan, once again, disliked the new update for Destiny? After a certain point, shouldn't he just give up on the game because it definitely seems like he's never going to like it?
If the Hitman Silent Assassin mission is the one I'm thinking of then you don't shoot randomly you listen to Diana who gives you clues like he doesn't drink or he smokes or he's bald which enables you to work out who the target is. In my opinion the new Hitman with lots of options sounds exactly like the Hitman series (excluding Absolution, the less said about that the better) and nothing like Assassin's Creed (admittedly I've only played Black Flag, which I understand with the pirateyness is a little different to the rest of the series).
I would love to buy a remastered bioshock collection. im all for updated graphics and a new achievement list. if you dont like remasters you can just not buy them. and not trying to be rude.
i actually liked bioshock 2. the gameplay was better than bioshock but the story wasnt as strong
Bioshock 2 was still a great game besides just Minerva's Den. For me, it had a more personal story, better developed characters, and improved gameplay over the first game. Not only that, but it added to the mythos of Rapture in a very positive way. Also, the game had a 87 on Metacritic so I don't see how that makes it unanimously bad. Weakest in the series perhaps, but a bad game automatically?
Also, I noticed Ashely didn't like Bioshock 2 for "exploring a different philosophy" and yet that's exactly what Infinite did albeit with a different setting. At least in 2 the characters felt more human rather than simply being a personification of a particular ideology, which was the case for the majority of characters of 1 and Infinite.
I strongly agree with everything you just said. While the team behind it wasn't Ken Levine's (I feel like he's been a bit idolized as of late), they managed to improve upon so many of the the original game's mechanics and added new ones as well. The story was damn respectable, and I loved the ARG that they had for the game beforehand called Something in The Sea. Mark Meltzer was a cool character and the way they added him to the game was brilliant
I knew Ryan was talking about sliders immediately, and i'm only 23 xD
Regarding the voice actor union dispute: How much of the cost of the additional accommodations will be foisted upon consumers? I highly doubt AAA game publishers will give up their ridiculously bloated marketing budgets to provide the proper compensation for VAs and will instead place the burden upon us to purchase microtransactions or ridiculous DLC to foot the bill
I'm not really sure what my comment included to warrant me being declared a noob. I'm just considering how the current big-name game developers and publishers heavily defend the current status-quo of the heavily-marketed big-budget AAA $60-price-tag game and what they would do to keep that way while at the same time providing the compensation that voice actors are asking for.
Anyone else miss Gavin throwing things at Ryan during the Patch?
Yeah the moment Meg ducked beneath the desk I was positive a stuffed animal was coming for Ryan.
It's the legacy exotic engram in Destiny that is more likely to give you items you don't already have, not the regular one
Regular Year 2 ones were doing it as well, it was all over the Bungie forums. I bought like 10 engrams first week and had alot of doubles of Helm of Inmost Light and Saint-14 from them, because they were in my inventory I then got more of them from the engrams.
The problem is that the Exotic Loot pool is so small as well, so you're more likely to get doubles anyway
