SOO glad they did not do a "from behind" pose for Gus in that outfit.
Anyone else baffled at how they had the license for Tony Hawk for 13 years, and they couldn't even finish a game?
Ryan said gold was carbon. He needs to brush up on his Periodic table
What is the intro song. It's soo good.
is there a place we can get the plain versions of the thumb nails? They are fantastic!
You can see them in the "Episodes" section of the Patch.
LOL that thumbnail... :-D
I always get happy when people at rooster teeth make references to star trek
I love how at 15:12 it looks like the Earth is trembling under the power of Ryan's speech. So appropriate.
The hiding spots for the Paradox daily (in fact, everything to do with that daily) were actually just where everyone theorized hidden stuff was for VoG back in the day
Ashley! Have you seen the anime version of the book you mentioned? Kaiba! You should watch it! It is really amazing!
I feel like the word "microtransactions" has become so negative that we automatically assume that it'll be a game-killer whenever they are implemented.
In this case, I don't think it's a bad thing--if it's handled properly. Right now, Bungie/Activision is saying that all purchasable items will be cosmetic, and that the proceeds will translate into free DLC so that everyone can enjoy all the content (and the social/community aspect will be stronger). I was listening to a popular Destiny streamer while engram farming a couple days ago, and many of the people in the chat (obviously Destiny players as well) seemed on board with this particular iteration of microtransactions. Shaders, emotes, ship shaders, maybe the chance to change character appearance--like a new Awoken face-tattoo, or a few cool hairdos--all sound like good ideas. I'd pay a buck or two for some ship shaders--all these new blueprint ships are poop-brown (perhaps awaiting your purchasable color application).
That being said, the second they add purchasable currency other than Glimmer (motes or Strange coins), it will break the game, absolutely ruin the Destiny community, and drive the game into an early grave--indeed, what is the game in its purest form? It's the quest for better loot that brings us back. Please don't use this as a gateway to "pay-to win," Bungie...don't you dare.
As long as it stays Cosmetic, it will be win-win for everyone. Bungie knows this, and its the better option for the revenue stream that Activision so desperately want from all their games.....I've bought avatar gear for my Xbox avatar in the past, and I'll definitely buy ships, shaders, emotes, emblems if they're good.
Like everything, Microtransactions can be good or bad. As long as they dont effect the meta or balance, and arent required to progress, then its all about player choice.
The only problem with all of it is the Destiny community gets salty as fuck about every little thing possible these days. Just look at the whole Sleeper Simulant thing....they're blaming Bungie for the fact they all went nuts and went down the rabbit hole, all by themselves.
Kojima needs to try and make a game about The Boss, figure something out how to get the rights from Konami.
