It's so strange hearing my voice on The Patch! So cool that I was able to ask a question :D
when i played dishonored I did the clean hands (don't kill anyone) on my first run through and i still thought the game was good, though i will admit there are some pretty awesome powers that are devoted to killing

Yes, a 'sugar shiv' could work. Sugar dissolves in water, your body and blood specifically is water with other chemicals mixed in, so you could stab somebody and then dissolve whatever broke off in them given they don't die quickly OR dissolve it in water. The problem is that to make sugar thick enough you be useful and not hit a bone it would take something closer to an ice pick and then the pointed end would still likely break off because it's....well..sugar.
